@Lukeon.....I have one philosophy when it comes to people or relationships...keep it simple... Mixed signals only complicate matters and confuses everyone involved.... maybe I'm just lazy and can't be bothered at my age to figure out what the heck is going on.... Interesting blog though..thanks
@Luke..... you just gotta love the originality and uniqueness of SA... Btw...where can I get an extra set of tyres for my car like that 4th pic? I think I sure can use them these days especially now with a daughter learning to drive...
@Cat...lying sounds like a lot of PT to me and you really need an exceptional memory in order not to be caught out and make a total fool of yourself......I think its far better to just be honest and upfront as it really saves one a lot of embarrassment and stress....
@Cat....I have been blessed with a nephew who is an IT specialist so when my PC becomes difficult and needs any sorting out all it costs me is a phone call and a cup of coffee...
@Cat.....my sincere condolences on the loss of your friend and yes, when you have lost someone close to you such as a spouse then somehow the quality of life seems to have diminished and the concept of recapturing any form of joy again seems rather far fetched which inevitably leads to a lack of desire to live or move on with your life.....it takes a lot to raise up out of that mind set and I believe the older we get the more challenging it becomes..
@Luke...jumping to conclusions is the same as believing this cat cat drive that car...
...unbelievable and not fact based at all.... Thanks for a great blog..certainly different...oh dear I think that makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd...but then again that could be regarded as jumping to conclusions
@Cat...oooh I remember seen this from that movie by Jamie Uys...'Animals are beautiful people'... it was so funny..even when they showed the after party scenes too....
@Cat.....noooo I would not dare to mention aging when it comes to you and Luke.....but as you well know SA wines are top quality and they only improve with age... similar to some folks I know...
@Luke.....shucks man..can I use a stunt double does that count...
@Cat....I seem to recall broad foreheads to be a genetic feature of SA man in general...especially as they advance in age....you and Luke both seem to have been amply blessed......
@Cat...Im currently sitting in the same position as you and I am well aware of the emotional trauma of selling up your home of many years, letting go of many things dear to you and searching for something a bit more geared towards your new lifestyle as a retiree.....all I can say is may you find that special place and may it bring you many blessings and joy....
@Luke...honestly they say most behaviour patterns are taught...do you suppose these professional soccer players are taught to fake their injuries in order to score a penalty kick or did they spend too much time around girls as a young boy growing up...mmm maybe not those ladies in your last pic....
@Luke...I'm no betting woman so I guess I'll also be poor for some time to come...
Though I have recently heard that the difference between soccer and rugby is that one game is played where the players spend 90 mins pretending they are hurt and the other spend 80 mins pretending they ain't hurt....
@Luke....agreed ...it is often said that the mind is the biggest battlefield to any challenge....but once you have overcome that the rest is smooth sailing...
@Luke.....packing up your home is all those above...but you forgot to also add emotionally draining..... I'm sure the foot of the Cat is also experiencing all of the above mentioned and will probably surprise us all with a wonderfully stimulating blog as soon as he has settled in.
.....mm as for hoarding like a squirrel.... guilty as charged..I'm just a sentimental old fool...
@Del...you have always behaved as a true gentleman in an exemplary manner towards members of CS, you have stood your ground as a true soldier defending those who have come under fire from lesser well behaved individuals. Thank you for being such a loyal and faithful friend and a fine example to us all
@Luke ...thanks for this blog and your fine example in displaying such respect and consideration towards such fine members of CS such as Delatude...
@Val53.... "Its midnight and I'm off to bed" is Lukeon's favourite clue shortly before disappearing off the blogs...and oh my word who can blame him....it truly is freezing down here...
Ohhhhhhhh ...Angel a blog by AngelP....amazing .....ok..here goes....I wish to read more blogs by our famous...awesome...fabulous Angelpepper...erhmmmmm...perhaps a little more frequently
Hi Ken...good to see you back .....ohhh yes I recognise that letter too...at least they haven't become overwhelmed by originality.... ai...wish you all the best for the future though
@Lumber_Jack.....nope....I'm single and would sure like to know the guys contacting me are not one of those married men Allia1 is referring too ... as Im sure other single women on CS would also like to know....yes?
@ Allia1.....HI there ...may I ask who these married men are are I am aware you may not name and shame them on the blogs...sadly so... perhaps you would be so kind as to send me an email in private ...that would be very kind of you..
@ Gentlejim...sadly heroes like artists only become famous after their deaths....many poems and songs are written in memory of them...but like the....Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries – A. E. Housman which Luke quoted...the only wages they reap for defending a Godless world are those of death...
@Luke...yup I know this has nothing to do with you blog but thought it would add a smile to your face....
A burglar breaks into a house. He starts shining his light around looking for valuables. Some nice things catch his eye, and as he reaches for them, he hears, “Jesus is watching you.” Startled, the burglar looks for the speaker. Seeing no one, he keeps putting things in his bag, again, he hears, “Jesus is watching you.” This time, he sees a parrot.
“Who are you?” the burglar asks.
“Moses,” the bird replied.
“Who the heck would name a bird Moses?” the man laughed.
“I dunno,” Moses answered, “I guess the same kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus.”.....
@Luke...mmm mine has a little sticker underneath that says...Made in China...maybe mine does not translate into English...oh dear...I knew I should have got the latest model with google translate....
