No he's demonstrating a very different goal. He just wants to further his exploration project. I'm sure if he runs for political office, I'm hoping he would maintain his status as a world man. Not to be in the pockets of anybody else.
In his story Crown, he spent all his money on making his project work. When he had over a million he could have simply invested in a money making venture. No he kept trying and trying. He was only able to materialize his dreams after NASA gave him a 1.4 billion operating money.
He went on and made it happen.
I'm not saying money isn't a factor but not his primary motivation.
He's still shopping at target.
Now anybody can say anything and probably each of you are right. My guts says he's different.
