you are a novice here - at least by me cause I'm ancient - and yet you know you way around better than me. Now that is surprising given that you're a woman.
I never realised it was time to move on when I was in the only relationship that really mattered to me - thus far.
She just kicked me out and that's when I knew she was gone forever. I must admit though that she was right/justified in doing what she did. Took me a while to kinda realise. I was youngish
Often science is simply about counting events - or in other words, statistics. We'll count how many times you get it right and how many times you get it wrong. We'll do the same thing with a few others, who like me have no shadow of a doubt that they have 5 senses at most. Then we'll compare the outcome.
If the number of hits you get is more or less equal to that of the controls, then .. we'll have to conclude that either everyone has a 6th sense or that no one does
PS: this has been done on many famous people who claimed to have psychic abilities of the same kind you mention and all of them failed that simple test. Do you know who Edgar Cayce is? well, he's been called a prophet and all that jazz and yet.. he doesn't stand up to basic scientific scrutiny.
Ingo Swann is another famous dude.. known for "discovering" Saturn's gas/debris rings psychically before they were observed through scientific instrumentation. He's a quack.
Indeed. N. Korea is an excellent example of a society where everyone (is forced to) thinks the same and they're going downhill by the second.
In my view, as long as one has thought through his stand and is willing to revise it need be, then I do not see why he/she shouldn't sustain his/her view.
The position taken by the masses is not necessarily applicable for me, even if it's the world against me and I certainly won't be changing it simply because most people took a different one. That's my 2p.
Exactly. If we all agree with each other all the time - which can't truly be the case if we're being honest - then there would be no discussion. We'd just be a bunch of "yes-men" for lack of a better term. Discussion is the way to learn imo and I like that.
I, perhaps as always , do not totally agree with this. We indeed are all equal when it comes to certain things such as the right to live and protection by the law etc however, it is in my view incorrect to say:
"we werent all born to be high achievers"
I think being an achiever is an attitude and thus it is acquired. It is not something one is born with. It is something one struggles for. Of course, some will have it easier than others but if one works hard, he can achieve a lot. me 2p.
RE: You cant stop people from talking about you
and why should you want to stop people from talking about you? People talk about whatever they want and so do I.
