I think this maybe a cultural thing then Cat. Over here in Ireland most welcome old age because it gives thrm free reign to say and do as they please.
They dont "lay a tooth on it" is the expression i would use.
My paternal grandmother being an example. She could give u the sweetest smile in one second.. them sweep thr rug from under your feet in the next breathe with a comment or a look.
Im certainly going to adopt alot of things ive learned here. Your way of life and living being one. The line "Keep it simple, stupid" has been reused over and over again...but for good reason.

Well if u do sketch, then why dont u sketch a picture that she will remember you by. Like if u always bought her flowers..sketch the flowers u used to buy her. Or if she mentioned something that she likes..sketch that.
Oi Mr...if we didnt care sometimes about things like smelling nice and looking nice all ye men wud be home alone " taking care" of yerselves.
Yes i get u....men work so much differently to women...or maybe they dont anymore!!
Ill admit to having a few Male "friends"...who help out too when needed.
Maybe just instead of buying her something then just put ALOT of effort into making yer last date something to remember...doesnt have to require spending alot of money.
