I agree.I've seen alot of threads on a fishing/hunting site where I belong which get locked.And usally the site owner or mods will explain why they were locked and sometimes they won't.
Maybe they think that getting boozed up gives them courage. I think when someone lets booze control their lives that it's time to give it up.I feel that burnt out light bulbs are brighter than some people.
