where if that particular couple does split for some reason either of them can get a settlement from the other party.It's treated no differently then when a couple files for divorce.I've never been through something such as this but know couple who have.

I know all to well of where you're coming from.It's been almost 3 yrs since the death of my late husband and this month would've been our anniversary.
There are times when I think I'm through grieveing and days when I'm not.I have made a point tho to think of the good times and all the good memories of the life he and I shared together.
I'm so very very sorry for your loss.
