This is a 2 page story regarding a mission Carla was on to be a perfect daughter. She figured by being good it would help her earn love and acceptance from her parents.
As the story starts out .....One day while helping her mother folding clothes and discussing the trouble her brother had gotten into her mother said to Carla that ..... "I know we'll never have to worry about you honey."
Carla explained in this story that she was stressed out in trying to be perfect and that it was too much for her to handle.
Her question was..."Why do we feel like we have to work so hard to earn acceptance?
Like Carla there are times when I wonder the very same thing.
I didn't bring it to the top it was already there. When I saw this thread it was on it's way to the 2nd page.Someone else replied to it and brought it back up to the top.
I know all to well from where you speak cas.I raised 3 of my 4 legged kids from birth too and it almost killed me when the time came for me to do that dirty deed.No matter what anything else thinks they were my family.I wouldn't ever dream of asking/nor expecting a man who may enter my life someday to give up any of his pets.
If it was because of a health issue I would slow down that relationship or totally end it with him.
I'm fine.I know how you feel in regards to looking at them.I hunt deer for their meat only but I don't have their dead bodies hanging on my walls.I don't understand the reasoning behind having dead animals hanging in ones home .
I know you're not trying to agrue J and I'm not either. And I 100% agree with you that that people need to walk a a mile in someone elses shoes to know how miserable an allergy or health problem can be.
I'm allergic to real animal hair but I learned to deal with it.I didn't expect my late husband to get rid of his dog.I wouldn't had been that mean to him.Besides he had a Shih-tuz which are good to have especially in regards to someone being allergic.
How's that? I've had friends of mine who were dead serious and tell me that they would get rid of their husbands before their dogs or kids so I disagree with you on that.
Then I've had people say that they would give up their kids and Dogs and keep their mates. I was volunteered at several schools in my area and heard this being said.
RE: Okay ladies, what's for dinner ?
I'll be flouring some cube steaks fried in butter and then making southern gravy to go over them. With a veggie and a salad.
