To some people it does matter what others think about them.Maybe the people who it matters to suffer from low self-esteem and want to hear and be reasured that they are.
It may also be as to how they were treated in a relationship.Like maybe someone they were with verbally abused them.
Love.Yes we need money to survive...but money isn't everything. Someone could still have all the money in the world and still feel empty without love in their life.
