MavRik: Lets assume your lover can't be in the same Home as your dog or his health will deteriorate...
Please be honest, I Just really need to know, Thanks
If the love is there for the other person to the point of it being a keeper relationship and it is about his/her health, yes I believe the dog has to go. Making sure it finds a good home and that I could see her/him. Not an easy decision for sure.
If I had a health issue and the man in my life had a dog I wouldn't expect or let him give it up.I would just end the relationship.I know all to well what a very hard decision that would be for him to make.

There are always choices about what can be done with the pet. And pugs are really hard headed dogs, just like women !

If its for health reasons, I think so. But if its for their own shelfishness, NO!! I gave away a cat i had for 7yrs for a relationship. All because it was given to me by an ex, and the new gf didnt want nothing to do with it. (I should of run then). In short...Think long and hard before you make that decision.

Yep !! It would have to be for all the right reasons. and selfishness is not one.
jeepers: It is a tough one isn't it. It would have to really be a special person for me to give up my best friend.
I can't imagine ever ASKING someone to give up a pet...or a child.... There are meds to deal with allergies these days.... (I am allergic to children, and they always get all over me!)

rubendario: A person that I loved would have to have a good reason, even though I don't have a dog, to get rid of a pet.
But an animal is never more important than a person in my book!!
Ah Ruby, too bad you struck out this time.
I have had my little dog for almost 12 years. She was in the passenger seat truckin with me for 11 of those years. We have a bond. If I leave the house, she will not eat or drink until I return. She is the best dog in the whole wide world and I tell her that every day. I love her and she loves me. If I cry tears, she licks them from my cheeks.
Sorry, I will never give up my dog for a man, even a good man.

WhovianGeneva: No choice for me. It's so difficult to find a partner.... (at least for me)
But I would be really sad to give up my dog, or other pets
I would make sure the dog find a good family, in the countryside, with a nice house and a garden.
I prefer to Love a Woman than an animal..... Now that's an interesting question to those who prefer to keep the dog : Why do you prefer your dog to your lover ?What about seeing a bit deeper in yourself ?
I refused to take a job if my dog could not come. The dog has been around much longer. The dog is faithful. The dog does not give me a hard time or backtalk.
I do not have a lover. If one came along, he and the dog would have to get along or the man goes. It's just that simple. I would not get deep into a relationship with a man who could not be around my dog, so we won't have this problem.
