I'd show her the door and keep the dog. Not a hard question for me to answer. I know I would, in the end, resent the person for the loss of my dog but would never resent the dog for the loss of a woman.
Unconditional love...no human will ever give you that...in my humble opinion.

I love animals too much so I'd definitely keep the dog no questions asked...there are possible remedies for allergies nowadays. My cousin has an allergy to cats but he loves them so much, he takes something for it and has kept the family's cats.
My reasoning stems from the fact that I've lived most of my life with dogs...the couple of years after my first dog died I was completely devastated not having a four legged friend around. Guess I'm hard headed

Well if someone is willing to do what it takes then happy for them..
but for me no one can tell me anything unless they have what i have..
I would not pop pills or take needles just to have an animal around or to make my partner be able to keep them..
I know becos i have some many allergies to alot of things..
So easier said then done to the ones who think life is that simple
i abandoned the idea of keeping my dog once for about an hour, then put it to my partner we could get another place with a garden and a kennel and build a run, and she would be very happy out there. DONT BE SILLY KEEP THE DOG,EVERY TIME incidentally there was a truly brilliant film where, in a post holocaust world this guy had a psychic connection with his dog, he then teamed up with a lady, they had to cross a desert and were going to die for lack of substenance obvious answer, they killed the lady and ate her. if anyone knows the name of the film could you e mail me ive always wanted to see it again. Adog is for life not for convenience

Whos' life?
Any one who places an animal above a human being is insane!
ok ok, maybe that came out bad...i would never even ask someone to take pills or medication either... however, id still choose the animal over the partner. having to choose would be a deal breaker for me...but i do tend to go for animal lovers with no allergies to them hehe :) anyway sorry for the misunderstanding, i just meant to say that there are options for those who want to, that's all.
