You know who I'd really love to see run for President? He'd certainly get my vote...Clint Eastwood. I think he's rock solid and honest...and nobody would mess with us with "Dirty Harry" as our President! (That is serious, though...I would vote for him. I think he'd be good.)
For me, this is a very Spiritual holiday (Sabbat) when the veils between worlds are thinner and it is time to honor and remember those who I have loved who have crossed over before me.
So I have a lot of family and dear ones to remember this year. I couldn't do this last year because it was too close to when I lost my husband, so although I wallowed drunkenly in memories, I didn't honor his Spirit properly. (Though that might be debatable since he was an alcoholic. Hmmm. )
Actually, if you look at what he did in office, not what the media reported and claimed, he did a lot of good that he never got enough credit for...whereas Clinton got a lot of credit for stuff he didn't do, and not enough blame for the things he did. It's all in getting the media to love you, and in this country you have to be a Democrat for that...then you can get away with murder---literally. At least Reagan was an honest man who did a good job...and the media and the Democrats can never forgive him for that.
Love your costume, btw...neat Scarecrow get-up! There should be some awesome costumes tonight from what I've been seeing on the threads the past couple of weeks! I think you'll have a hard time making the decision as to who wins.
God rest his soul...he was one of our best Presidents, and the stupid liberal media did their best to tear him to shreds. Thank you, HJ. Yes, I was young then and serving in the Army during his Presidency...but I still knew a great man was in office then. He was the last good one we've had.
Exactly. I have learned something from everything that happened, and believe it all has its place in the grand scheme of life. I wouldn't change anything...and I wouldn't want to do any of it again. Once was enough, thank you very much.
"I was interested in her and now I don't know what girl I am interested in now"
You don't always have to be interested in a particular girl. I know it's hard at your age...but, when you stop looking so hard is usually when someone comes along. So, go to the ball, enjoy yourself, concentrate on enjoying your life and getting your band started...and stop worrying about getting a girlfriend. The amazing thing that will happen is that you will enjoy yourself and life more...and the right gal might just come along when and where you least expect it.
Relax. Live. Learn to love yourself and your life.
I'm not in the financial position to make the drive from PA to MN at the moment, since it also means boarding my dogs for the trip...but even if I could, making such a trip to meet a stranger for any kind of night wouldn't be something I'd consider. Sorry. And it has nothing to do with your bank account or living situation. Those wouldn't bother me. We all hit rough times sometimes.
Work on improving your situation before working on starting a romance...esp long distance. You sound like a nice guy, and the candlelit romantic dinner under the stars sounds wonderful...in the summer. Dude, it's colder in MN than it is here now! Seriously, this isn't even the time of year for such a thing.
If worst comes to worst, you then have the option of packing up their stuff, putting it outside, and changing the locks. Sometimes it takes drastic means...but by all means, get out of a toxic situation. At least you won't lose your home...and don't feel guilty, I'm sure this person will find somewhere to stay.
I would try first to get them to move on their own, and point out that if you have to you'll do this very thing...let them know staying is not an option.
Walk away and ignore them for a while until everyone gets a chance to cool down. Believe me, I've been in many situations like this, and this is how I've learned to deal with it best...even in marriages or family confrontations.
Hi, Luscious...just the lady I wanted to see in here! You speak many different languages...can you tell me what Druidess translates into in Nigeria so I might understand why I get all of these Bible-quoting Christian scammers? Just curious.
Yeah...instead it's more about how in your beautiful eyes he's found his soulmate, etc.
I usually know because they try to convince me of what a God-fearing Christian they are and quote Bible stuff at me....HELLO, MY PROFILE ID IS "DRUIDESS"!
I can usually tell by the grammar/syntax that makes no sense, the message stating that they think I'm so beautiful and I am the love of their life, and the inclusion of their yahoo email addy/IM id at the end. Yes, they usually choose a name that sounds American enough...but that's the only thing that sounds American about them.
If in doubt, delete it and block them. If they fool me in the first email, the second one always proves it.
The media hates Bush, and Republicans in general, so they paint a black picture of him and all he does and totally ignore the good. They love Obama so they paint everything he does and says with gold and paint McCain black. It's the thinking people who catch and remember things like Obama turning away from the flag that will vote against him. I just hope that there are enough of us. I can't convince my best friend of it, and yet I remember a big deal was made of that when he was fighting Billary for the candidacy. She has no memory of it. It boils down to people believing what they want to believe. Democrats still love Bill Clinton...Republicans still remember him as the evil man he is, and know his wife is worse.
Knowing I'll never change anyone's mind about politics is why I ignore the political threads on here and keep my mouth shut in public...normally. (Occasionally I forget myself, like now, and get involved.)
Cool...but I have to say that I like the bumps...they keep life interesting. I, too, could do with a little more smoothness and less bumps, though...and a horse! Can I join you?

No secrets! People don't tell strangers secrets.
