RE: Yes

plagiarism is only when a quote isnt attributed to the person who wrote or owns the work in question this sint usually the case when I or a lot of others use cut n paste in here

what the hell is going on here - I thought I had joined a web community - not an educational establishment - I come here to enjoy the banter not to be told what I can post, quote or hopefully enlighten people with

RE: Copy and Paste

Thanks Assets thumbs up

Hiya Tracy - methinks I got off at the wrong stop again roll eyes

RE: Copy and Paste

come to think of it - it would spoil many a good/funny/interesting thread if we got rid of copy and paste laugh

RE: Copy and Paste

rolling on the floor laughing yep, they come thick and fast from all sides when they get going - the bible quote ones too rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Copy and Paste

Sorry - I meant to quote you there - duh

RE: Copy and Paste

I hear what you are saying and dont advocate mass copy and paste with no personal input but it can be used constructively to quote or outline an opinion.

The suggestions seem to be going in an 'either or direction' which I take issue with - just because a person chooses to use copy and paste does not infer a lack of intelligence, nor indeed of imagination on the posters part - 's all Im saying

RE: Copy and Paste

yes, but people are free to copy and paste opposing views too.

personally I spend enough time on the niceties of acedemia - a bit of cut n paste is ok to my mind here in cyberspace

RE: Old School

hmm, theres always little telltale signs though when people are doing this for 'ulterior motives' - but I guess it happens all the time to varying degrees in lots of areas sigh

RE: Old School

I really love to be in the company of people with good manners, especially a man who is doing me the honour of making me feel special - but I think it goes both ways - it gives me a nice feeling to be nice back and hold the door open for them sometimes too. - this is how I see the equality stuff and I think its amazing to find nice little ways of repaying little gestures, I do this with everybody, young, old, male or female thumbs up

Lovely post bnd wine

RE: Who's the idiot that wrote this.

RE: Who's the idiot that wrote this.

this reminded me of this Beatles song.................

In My Life

(Lennon/McCartney)

There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

In my life I love you more
