stereotyping wont work - I for one dont have to suffer the monthlies and another would be that we wouldnt be so blinded by power that we couldnt hand over the reigns for a day or two to our 2nd in command

Oh, you know, I feel so bad calling America here as there are so very many lovely people in your country - its just that somehow the politicians dont do you all too much justice - hopefully next time you all get a chance to vote you will choose more wisely - I really dont know how you ended up with Bush again (though I do have my theories haha)

As you say, a little more attention to domestic policy, i.e. petrol consumption, alternative energies etc. may just help to make a difference

I absolutely agree - what I disagreed with was the suggestion that these monies were extended in the spirit of altruism

All the Governments are simply propaganda machines with the media as their chief weapons - nothing stirs up the populace more effectively than a supposed threat to the sons and daughters of any given nation - I reitterate - we are the pawns - and my kids aint ever gonna go play their war games

Those people in Iran are as much against their leader as any of you - he is a dictator - lets not blame the people - please - they need help to get rid of him but dont condemn the whole nation because of a despotic leader - this is 2007, have we learned nothing

No, Im simply saying that the way that governments work is always for the pay off - I dont want to be arguing with anybody but the specific example I used is totally documented and was designed to help the US to keep their exports to Britain healthy - its just the way politicians do things - we are all just the pawns in their games

At the end of WW2, the Marshall Plan, where America loaned money to Britain, was to aid the US economy in the form of exports which had stopped because we were all spent up - whatever money America extends to any other nation is not done in the spirit of altruism - dont be fooled
