I would take the risk of the broken heart and being a lone again but when I love again I will love true and real as I always have and better from my experiences.
I accidently locked my cat in the dryer when she was a kitten. She went while the door was opened and I didn't know it and started the dryer. I was sitting on the sofa and heard this terrible cry, I could not figure out where it was coming from but I followed it to the dryer and I stopped the dryer real quick. I was afraid to open the door because I didn't know what I would find...I thought maybe, blood, guts and gore. But I opened it and she came out licking her but. I don't think she has ever been quite the same since. She has never been an affectionate cat. She is fearful when strangers come in and will his. But she is okay with my daughter and me but still not very affectionate. I had her declawed when she was about 2 years old because she scratched up the cabinets and funiture. But if I don't feed her first thing in the morning she bites me and I chase after her. It stings to be bit by a cat. Sometimes she bites my daughter when she is walking across the room. We have had her for 11 years and I have had considered getting rid of her but it broke my daughter's heart so I will keep her but sometimes I wonder how long cat's live.
I don't know I think I got addicted...I like politics and flirting is fun. Even though the guys I would like to meet live too far away, the people on the site are still cool and friendly.
Most of us are familiar with the above quote taking from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, but how many of us know this verse: “And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou can not then be false to any man.” Unless we can be true to ourselves first, we cannot be true to others.
To thine own self be true…..how profound. How many of us have a hard time being true to ourselves? Those of us that gave our life to another at the cost of loosing who we are in the process will have a hard time being true to ourselves. Allowing someone else to define who we are, we lose our ability to discover and grow inwardly. We no longer are able to discern a truth from a lie. For many of us, we have accepted lies for so long, that finding out what is true takes time. Having done this very thing, I know how difficult the journey to self-discovery can be.
Truth….truth is a word that brings out such negative reactions to many of us. You see truth is really an action word. You cannot accept truth without change. Accepting truth about ourselves is difficult, especially to those of us who have been abused. But truth does set one free if we will allow it to; it is a crucial part of healing. It gives us the freedom to be who we are. We are able to come to terms with our weakness (without condemnation) and appreciate our strength. Truth gives strength; it naturally builds healthy boundaries. Truth is open; it is honest even at the risk of being vulnerable again. Truth is light and brings forth life. When we walk in truth, we walk in light and when we walk in light we live a healthy life.
Truth is also love. The greatest act of love towards another is living a life that is truthful. For those of us who find it difficult to love ourselves, we will find it will come more easily when we walk in truth about who we are. If we walk in truth, we walk in perfect love, and if we walk in perfect love, then we do not walk in fear because perfect love cast out fear. Because we have been honest with ourselves, we are able to love ourselves with all of our imperfections, knowing that we are in “process” and therefore need not have others approval. This is freedom indeed.
The second part of this verse is a natural occurrence if we hold true to the first part of the verse. So, when in doubt as to our motives of not being truthful with someone….look inside, are we being less than truthful to ourselves?
”This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” -Shakespeare-Hamlet
I believe we are always being pulled toward the truth. When we become more aware we have gained more knowledge and wisdom but there is a lot of shades of grey.
That was very romantic...chilvary...a man of your word...I adore that. Just so you know...that is if you ever want to do such a silly, costly thing again.
well it was kind of conspiracy because the same people who started the war had it planned many years ago and even wrote it out in the New America Century that US should have more control in the Middle East. I just think that too much power got in the hands of some crazy, greedy people who didn't even serve in war themselves but cared less about sending our young men to die for oil. This has had me burning from day 1 and it makes me very sad.
I liked you yesterday when we agreed and I like you just as much today when we didn't.
And I got so excited in the kissing thread today I posted to the snowball thread, while it was a little embarrassing I guess I need to cool down a little.
Mitchell, did we win the war in Alfganastan? They are more organized and funded than ever. We created them Mitchell more and more. We fired their hatred so they could kill our young men. Is that the jihad? Well we started it or did we take the fight to them.
Nobody with even the most remote understanding of the requirements of impeachment would try to argue that there is legal grounds. Why do you think you only hear far left crackpots suggest it?
And this is the man who said earlier that all he expected was personal attacks. Well that is not very credible...Why should we believe you?
What we are really talking about is not whether Iraq was a proliferator, because the UN had basically answered that question before the war began. It is really whether the US and Britain took what was a UN estimate that Iraq had capabilities that couldn't be accounted for and translated that into a false estimate that Iraq was actively developing and producing weapons for immediate deployment.
Bush lied to the people and the penalty is Impeachment.
John Dean, a leading figure in the Nixon era Watergate scandal, has written:
In the three decades since Watergate, this is the first potential scandal I have seen that could make Watergate pale by comparison. To put it bluntly, if Bush has taken Congress and the nation into war based on bogus information, he is cooked. Manipulation or deliberate misuse of national security intelligence data, if proven, could be 'a high crime' under the Constitution's impeachment clause. It would also be a violation of federal criminal law, including the broad federal anti-conspiracy statute, which renders it a felony 'to defraud the United States, or any agency thereof in any manner or for any purpose.
He also distorted and manipulated intelligence to the American people and that is a high crime and cause for Impeachment and when he put together his hand selected panel to investigate the Iraq intelligence it was president mandated that they only looked at the CIA and not at Bush's use and misuse of the information. He covered his tracks pretty good. I just wonder why the Democrat Senators and Congress don't call for an investigation? Bush claimed Iraq was an imminent threat and that was distortion and manipulation and he did not have the evidence to back that up. Mr. Tenet was giving them briefings that were all one sided...just what they wanted and that is why he got the Medal of Freedom and took the fall.
RE: Strategy of the US??
scouser would you like to come to America and get married but you have to stay and live here?
