RE: Say something special to the person you like, no need to mention their name :)

If I could be you, if you could be me
For just one hour, if we could find a way
To get inside each other's mind
If you could see you through my eyes
Instead your own ego I believe you'd be
I believe you'd be surprised to see
That you've been blind

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

almost all of our unhappiness is the result of comparing ourselves to others

RE: just want to say how much i enjoy

You seem very sweet yourself. Happy to have ya here.

RE: Whats your pet's names????

I have a cat when she was a kitten she was so fragile and delicate I wanted to give her a name that fit so I named her Tabitha. She turned out to be a witch and her nickname is Tabby. But I love her anyway.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

no pictures or sketches but it does say on the back cover that she greatly extended the boundaries of Frued's theories.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

Frued says that the id consists of our desires and the super ego consists of moral judgements. They often conflict, but we are human and we do have desires and judging others does not make you any more healthier. People need to focus on them selves and their own neurotic tendacies.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

Are you fickeled? Your post on love and romance have always been so positive. Just accept whatever it is that is upsetting your ego, don't resist, feel your feelings and release them and you will feel better.

RE: Use 1 word to describe your secret CS crush

A man

RE: aggressive woman

Well, I am turned on that you are turned on by that. grin

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

or if you have a "healthy" ego you could have a balanced self-esteem and not pseudo with neurotic tendacies.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

but "healty" is not perfect, like she said there is no such thing as perfection.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

thumbs up from me too.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

Well you may be wrong, I know someone who graduated from The University of Boston with a Master's degree in psychology and she says that if we have a "healty" ego we have worked through our neurotic conflicts. Ego is not "only" self-centered it can be "healthy." It may take a few life times to get there for some, but it is possible and some people do have "healthy" egos.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

Well I am not reading the other threads and I find this one interesting. My ego says for you not to disturb the free exchange of ideas in this thread. Ofcourse, I don't have to say anything but my ego is not healthy. grin

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

I don't know if they could reach Nirvana and struggle with relationship issues too...just my opinion. But it is a loving open- minded belief system to practice even if you never reach Nirvana.

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

SWEET Enough!

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

easy solutions are a joke but this is one...practice Buddism. But they are not free thinkers, are they? A free thinker believes in no higher authority. Buddist believe in transcending but do they believe in a higher authority?

RE: Your thoughts... determinism, existentialism, and/or functionalism

I think a healthy ego is a requirement, meaning no walls or defenses, or neurotic tendacies which we all seem to have and I also believe that love is a choice or based on free will.

RE: Say something special to the person you like, no need to mention their name :)

I want to know you. And I'd wish on a star
That somewhere you are thinking of me too
