At one point about 6 years ago I saw the raw documents with their original signatures and at that point in time I may have worked to do your research and try to convince of you but now I won't. If you care and you are openminded enough you might be able to find those raw documents yourself.
Hi bobby, yeah, I am learning myself. but I am openminded to researching and learning what FACTS I can. Somethings if it is totally out there even if it is thrown out by democrats, I don't buy either.
No, you did not misinterpret, actually you cleared it up for me a little more too. I was reading about how the Bush Sr. administration was involved with these pro-Isreal Neo-cons today and actually I want to learn a little more about it myself. Thanks Ocean.
• we need to accept responsibility for America's unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles.
Police the world...Better yet, own the World and their resources.
I was surprised to find out how involved Jewish lobbists were and that Cheney, Wolfitz who is Jewish and some of the other chicken hawks were lobbying for Jewish interest since way back. And how Feitch was booted for allegations of asbanodge for the interest of Isreal. And Isreal had so much to gain from this war. Can you say GREED? So I guess we all have things to learn.
American foreign and defense policy is adrift. Conservatives have criticized the incoherent policies of the Clinton Administration. They have also resisted isolationist impulses from within their own ranks. But conservatives have not confidently advanced a strategic vision of America's role in the world. They have not set forth guiding principles for American foreign policy. They have allowed differences over tactics to obscure potential agreement on strategic objectives. And they have not fought for a defense budget that would maintain American security and advance American interests in the new century.
We aim to change this. We aim to make the case and rally support for American global leadership.
As the 20th century draws to a close, the United States stands as the world's preeminent power. Having led the West to victory in the Cold War, America faces an opportunity and a challenge: Does the United States have the vision to build upon the achievements of past decades? Does the United States have the resolve to shape a new century favorable to American principles and interests?
We are in danger of squandering the opportunity and failing the challenge. We are living off the capital -- both the military investments and the foreign policy achievements -- built up by past administrations. Cuts in foreign affairs and defense spending, inattention to the tools of statecraft, and inconstant leadership are making it increasingly difficult to sustain American influence around the world. And the promise of short-term commercial benefits threatens to override strategic considerations. As a consequence, we are jeopardizing the nation's ability to meet present threats and to deal with potentially greater challenges that lie ahead.
We seem to have forgotten the essential elements of the Reagan Administration's success: a military that is strong and ready to meet both present and future challenges; a foreign policy that boldly and purposefully promotes American principles abroad; and national leadership that accepts the United States' global responsibilities.
Of course, the United States must be prudent in how it exercises its power. But we cannot safely avoid the responsibilities of global leadership or the costs that are associated with its exercise. America has a vital role in maintaining peace and security in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. If we shirk our responsibilities, we invite challenges to our fundamental interests. The history of the 20th century should have taught us that it is important to shape circumstances before crises emerge, and to meet threats before they become dire. The history of this century should have taught us to embrace the cause of American leadership.
The president's signature is not on it but all the other chicken hawk's signature's are on it. Cheney, Jeb, Wolfitz, Rumsfeld, Pearl. I will try to find it if they didn't pull it from the internet. And you can do a little research on Fietch also to see how credible he is and the role he has played with these guys in the past and just why Rumsfeld would override Feitch clearance to let him have the position of Chief of Pentagon.
Be happy and enjoy every minute of it. It's not all grand but if you both can communicate and stand by each other you can work through the difficult times, I guess...
I like LOOKING FOR TROUBLE TOO. I like to dance but I never had so many lessons like my daughter has and is, she takes, ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop. She has been competing for 4 years and at the competitions they usually have atleast one person who does a solo to TROUBLE. Haven't heard many other Elvis songs at them though.
Yes, I was replying to you specifically. You ask bobby "However, given the recent release of the Inspector General's report of the intelligence gathering mistakes made by the pentagon do you feel the reason for the war was based on a profit making scheme?"
Ofcourse, the intelligence report makes it more clear that it was. And if you did some background research on these people and the history you could realize that. They have all been working together for many years to create a new world order and gain more control over the oil resouce.
Ofcourse, it wasn't based on New World Order and planned years ago with Rumsfeld adn Wolfitz's name signed to it. And then who comes into play.
investigation has found that Feith's access to classified information and his alleged wrongdoing can likely be laid at the feet of more senior officials in the Bush Administration -- namely Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld -- who would have had to have overruled Pentagon background checks to reissue Feith's clearances after he was booted from the National Security Council for allegations of espionage in the mid 1980s
Pentagon's Saddam Intel 'Inappropriate'
POSTED: 10:47 am PST February 9, 2007 UPDATED: 1:55 pm PST February 10, 2007
WASHINGTON -- Pentagon officials undercut the intelligence community in the run-up to the U.S. invasion of Iraq by insisting in briefings to the White House that there was a clear relationship between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida, the Defense Department's inspector general said Friday.
Acting Inspector General Thomas F. Gimble told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the office headed by former Pentagon policy chief Douglas J. Feith took "inappropriate" actions in advancing conclusions on al-Qaida connections not backed up by the nation's intelligence agencies.
Gimble said that while the actions of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy "were not illegal or unauthorized," they "did not provide the most accurate analysis of intelligence to senior decision makers" at a time when the White House was moving toward war with Iraq.
