Is Love ever a mistake?

Some people refuse to let go of fear and discover love so they don't evolve. I would really like to find someone similar in my values and beliefs....I have made enough big mistakes to learn that you cannot force anyone to accept love, they must discover it on their own.

no, I don't agree. I loved the two men I married...to the best of my ability. I loved two other men in my life. I had to let them all go. But I never let love go...I don't have the same attachment but love i snot only for the wise, the young, the old, it is for everyone and as I have stated it is what we are born with and fear is what we learn. Sometimes if love is not nourished by our parents...we have to discover it on our own but that doesn't mean that it never was...it always was...we just didn't realize it. We are human and we all make mistakes and we learn but I believe love helps us to learn and evolve but it was never a mistake and neither is any human.

It was only one song...you may be right...I may be crazy is a song...I am not sure it that is the title. The bottom part is just the way I feel about the long distance relationships...it does seem unrealistic to me even if there are men I would enjoy meeting. I still enjoy you on the forums

Really! At one point I wanted to call it a big fricken illusion but I am sure it was love...I am not perfect and he was not perfect but I am sure it (Love) made me a better person.
I don't think it was an illusion...it was real to me...it was my reality. Damn, my feelings were strong for him...illusion, obcession....Carl Yung says that love is a serious mental disease....but I think it is still love and when it impacts us to the point that it moves us...we evolve.

I recently had my heart broke...I mean I fell in love...I fell hard for a younger man and he has some issues and could not love me or show me that he loved me in return. He said he has to have his freedom. I told him he wants his freedom, I want my freedom too. He wants to run around and not care about other people's feelings and try to drive them crazy....he better be careful that it doesn't happen to him.

So, yes I fall and I was hurt, but at best I can pick myself back up and travel on and I am a little bit stronger, a little bit wiser and a little better person...how can love be a mistake?

I don't know when or with who it will happen again but I am sure that energy is with another and hopefully it will be
better love next time....cos with a rebel's yell...she said more, more, more. j/k well kind of.

You, me and everyone else here....nomatter how much they think they know or how big thier ego. When they get too big, we have an ego sale....and when they get too nasty....we smoke for peace and everyone stands up.

You said love is how you feel and I know you can't control your feelings...and yes I guess there can be unfortunate consequences in a relationship but I think those consequences are not from love but from fear which is the opposite of love. Love is what we are born with...fear is what we learn....fear stems from hate.....and to truly love, sometimes we learn to let go ....and we learn..."Our last true freedom is the the freedom to choose our attitude in any situation." With love as our guide we become better people. With fear, well....it is okay to fear but you can not allow it to be your master.

And the opposite of love is not hate but apathy and sometimes things can be broken so they can not be fixed but I don't know if I have the ability for total apathy...I always care about people and wish them the best whether they care about themselves or not. I am not the most compassionate, generous person in the world...but I have compassion. It is good to have compassion...I have always been very sensitive to other people's suffering and needs... but I have learned through experience that this can be a lovely rose with thorns attached. The danger is in going too far, giving too much, developing a soft head to go along with a soft heart. We must know balance....And as a fellow Libra, you know we seek balance.

And I do believe we have the voice inside of us that knows what is best for us and we need to be still and feel our feelings....even fear and listen to what the voice tells us...it is the voice of wisdom, intution, and love.

There is "should" "shouldn't" and love...when love works I don't think it will feel like you are being run over by a truck but both people do have to want it and both need to work on nurturing a loving relationship...communication and expressing feelings is always a good way but for various reasons this can be difficult for people to do.

I have heard quite a few people ask, What is real love? Or "Does real love exist?"

My theory is that love is perfect in it's pure and natural state... people are not perfect but that doesn't keep them from falling in love.

We make mistakes and if we are wise we learn from them. And I believe that Love helps us learn in our relationships because it is accepting and it is truth.
I know humans make mistakes but we are not our mistakes and love is our natural condition which we were born with, fear is what we learn. I have heard that love can conquer all but I believe that we must first conquer our own fears. we cannot conquer someone else's. And maybe to conquer sometimes means to let go. You show someone you love them sometimes by letting go because Freedom is the truth of Love...and we are not all at the same place at the same time. These strong feelings that we call love can be hard to let go of, something started this reaction. I always seek to understand, I hurt like hell if the love is not returned and I learn to let go. This is my favorite quote...

In the end what matter most is...

How well did you live?
How well did you love?
How well did you learn to let go?

So what do you think...Is Love ever a mistake? Or do you see it as a learning experience? Or just a little bit of heaven sent down to worry the hell out of us?... That was the flip side but also the way people feel sometimes. I also think of no pain, no gain. Because I do believe it takes a strong emotional impact to change us sometimes and to move us.
