I think, it'd better for everyone concerned if UK left now.

UK might make life passable for their residents in a few decades, who knows.

Then, UK can always apply for EU membership and get it granted in the future. Though on less favourable terms that time.

Nowadays dogs have collar against fleas. And a pill against ticks. And all kind of vaccines. Sleeping next to a dog is totally safer, than sleeping next to a human. Can be more pleasant too.

Well, darling Ali, that's a good question. Our group got a postdoc from Pakistan, a very intelligent and nice young woman, and she invited me to her home town Lahore. She and her family would take cake for me as long as it takes and all that, Asian hospitality, you know. I really would like to go, but I can't think about me wearing a head scarf.

Perhaps in my next life.

Really pity :(
