When I joined CS four years' ago next month when you clicked on 'last post' you got on last post! now you get on the beginning of the last page....and you have to scroll down to get to the last post...only a small thing but would save time...bring it back CS folks please!
Not rubbish at all...their countries can't support the population, simple as... Only way out of poverty - give women control over their fertility and they will have small families and invest their time and resources in those children. Deny them that control and you have huge families with no prospects for the kids and they then do the same thing and so it goes on.....
Well seeing as you've said that the 'state' is just a criminal conspiracy against the people there really isn't much you can say to counter that.
You are still free to go and live in a mud hut in the desert and give your wife ten kids and watch them all die of disease and starvation if that is what you want. But don't blame the UN if they try to educate your poor wife so that she has some real choices in life. You can be as poor as you want, don't complain because other people don't want to!
I don't think it was Karma at all! I'm just saying that it was a bit ironic for bostonians who gave money to the IRA to be shocked at what happened, that's all.
Of course she was xenophobic! she didn't like anyone....no reason to take it personally. If an English person was insulted by a French leader they would just laugh and say 'that's the French', I think we should do the same. Plenty of reasons not to admire her but I don't think that was one of them.
As for Mickey's comments, I thought they were wrong, his concern should just have been with the victims but I can kind of understand what he said. I'm sure there are Boston people who were outraged over the bombing but had given money in the past to the IRA. I don't think there is anyone living in the UK though who thought the British Empire was a great thing...except maybe the major who lived in the hotel in Fawlty Towers!
