Everyone else got more than Three months to show a positive change and so does Obama. I did not vote here b/c ther is no category I fit in.
I voted for Obama. I may not like all the paths he has taken, but I WILL wait and see how he does to the 1-2 year mark before I pass judgement.
I do not feel any other President has EVER inherited as much of a mess as Obama has. Our Economy is in shambles prior to him taking office as was our Country's Reputation.
Talkin about: "not on-the-job training!!!" Bush had his Father's example to learn from. I feel HE,(Dubbya) bungled far more than he did good.
Sorry, JMO, I was in dire straits un der the Republicans and was tired of being scared and tired. Seeing the Jobs leave and trying to survive on ONLY $668.00/Month.. . . Am still scared but there is a small Glimmer of Hope on the Horizon.
For that alone, as of now, I am Confident I made the right choice in my Vote.
Also, it seems to me, Bush's own people were very critical of him in his early days as well as his last days. . . How short the Human Memory is.
OP, You are very Young. You were not working during the Early 80s to see things go from Liveable to Dire. History Books canna give you the sensation of Reality.

I also am of the era where the man was expected to make the first move. I have found to send a friend request usually is a good way to break the ice.
Claudya, you are a lot younger than I. We both have to face that times have chnaged. If you are interested in someone, Let him know. Otherwise you may loose out.
I have had Fertility problems and am reaching the age where outside of Donor eggs or Adoption, my chances are slim. But I wish to find a man willing to explore these options.
someone discusses fiancee visas, plane tickets, meeting his folks.. i guess that was all just talk..
No, don't let yourself take the rap here. I also went through this and he just disappeared in March after ~ 9.5 months of such discussions.
It happens to the best of us. I am sorry you are suffering, though.
I look at it this way, IF we had Gone on and Gotten together, Unless he has been run over by a train and is in the hospital somewhere, I might be going through this, later, rather than now. Perhaps with a Mortgage and Children, when he bolted.
I am lucky to have found out now, before any other llives would have been added to the Realationship and then I have to track him down to Divorce him all b/c He was not Honest enough to Face me and Tell me he changed his mind.
Trust me, I have not exaxtly been in this situation BUT neither of us WANT to be there either.
We are Both VERY Blessed to have found out now!!!!! Let HIM go. If he does not have enough time for you now, he WON'T have time for you after Marriage and I would not want to be a Ignored Spouse.
Y should it matter? Older men date younger women. I'm 27 and I just got out of a longterm relationship with a 45yr old mother of two. Trust me... She was happy. She had to move for work n I couldn't go. We still talk. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Whatever your happy doing... Do it!
Well said, or in my words: Heal, Learn and Try, try again. Or as My Parents would say watch, review, pick yourself up, dust off, catch the Horse and climb back into the saddle again, this time you control the horse.
OMG! Same here, desperately striving for straight face, covering mouth while giggling.
Poor Guys. Bet tney never thought a custom would become a case of making them Knights in Shining Armour. . . .Well, the women could have won then they would be t he detonators. . . .
Sorry JD, he has some valid points and I hope this one turns into a fascinating thread. I have to close for the night though, Campus is closing. So I will come back to this one later.
Funny, my experience has shown that they did not realize they had this until AFTER they decided they wanted another woman, only to tell me later they made a mistake b/c they had tis with me and now they don't.
Thanks Da10th!!! That is how we are looking at it. If our Families and others have problems, then they do -too bad.
The ones that would have to live with each other would be us, not them. So our Happiness is what matters not satisfying others' out dated ideas of what a woman should be with age wise.
If it has been good enough for the Gander for Centuries, then it DEFINITELY IS also good enough for the Goose!!!!
