I find this interesting but don't know about anyone else. Ancient people dating back 1000s of years ago mentioned in their stories that the moon was once as bright as the sun and over time she lost her brightness. Wow, it makes one think about what might have happened to our solar system in the past.
There are certain things that is so disturbing that it makes one ashamed of being human. An example is Islamic law recently stoning to death a 19 year old woman.
According to Dr. Larry Falls, religion implies the existence of some power or powers governing the whole universe, including humanity, possessing the ability to make decisions with unlimited power, in all places at all times, and capable of being influenced by human acts, sacrifices, respect and prayer. It was believed that the worship of these powers or gods was superior to all things. Later, a new doctrine was developed and implied that God is not a personality, but all laws, forces, and manifestations,or pure metaphysic. It was also taken for granted that the idea of admoration and worship of these powers was superior to all things. The means whereby the powers or god could reveal his capabilities were limited by human imagination.
500 years later Muhammed altered the Christian doctrine to invent the modern Koran.
Try one more time to contact him. If there is no answer or he makes an excuse without giving you an option for another date, forget it. If he's interested in you, you won't need to ask.
It may depend on what country you live in. Here in Vancouver Canada we have a number of organizations run but religious groups and only a few push their beliefs while others are open to discussion and respect what others think.
Hospitals run by religious groups, food and shelter for street people, schools built and maintained by volunteers, urban support systems in most cities, drug treatment centres, orphanages, free clothing and food to the poor, not to mention volunteer work in 3rd world countries. There is bad in everything, it's easy to point the finger without looking at ourselves.
It seems that everything said about religion is negative and only focus on the bad things. Very little is mentioned about the good. There is far more good things that came from real religious people than atheists and agnostics combined.
Have you ever dated someone you were attracted to and they tell you that when they were younger they did drugs with friends. Now they don't do it anymore but the way they talk and their behaviour is so weird you lost interest after the first date?
Truism: Religious or atheist, this generation and some in the next generation will be dead in the next 100 years. The ancient philosophers believed that to seek religion is to prepare for death. Perhaps it's true but there are others who have their own thoughts. Are you afraid of dying?
You have not been in touch with your ex for a couple of years. Recently your ex got in touch with you after breaking up with the person responsible for your separation. Your ex is now overly friendly with you. Would you date your ex again?
I had a relationship with someone online who lived in my area. It lasted a few months and then she moved away to help her mother. Can't say it was real love because I felt I needed time to adapt to her way of doing things.
Never, never give up. I also think the same as you, where are all the real women? I think a lot of folks are either shy or don't want to take a risk thinking they will be rejected.
The thing that makes us different from all other living creatures is that we are able to think in abstract terms. This creates many problems because we tend to create things that lead to destruction as well as good things that lead to morals and ethics for life and preservation. I believe the use of ethics and morals is to rationalize our existance and is the genesis of all religions.
There is no future prediction in regards to modern times however, the Old Testament is symbolic in its message and the future can be understood if one looks at the history of our past. We are no different from our ancestors in regards to wars, killing, hate, natural disasters of nature etc. The book of Ezekiel also had many visions but it's not difficult to understand what he was trying to say when you look at the good and evil of human nature throughout history. It's always the same old story.
