On a side note, a teacher's job includes helping the parent. If this teach has issues giving you pointers so your child can succeed, I'd have to make a point of it with her Supervisor. I put my fosters in the Montessori Academy & I'll be damned if I would have allowed any teacher to speak to me like that. If she couldn't offer you some help in achieving this "goal", perhaps she needs to be reminded of the definition of "teacher".

Love is a risk... albeit, a calculated risk. The very task of maintaining a relationship requires cooperation & compromise. There has to be a give & take balance for both parties or the fairness aspect falls apart... and possibly the essence of the relationship it's self.
So, is it really all that big of a deal to give a few things up for a loving mate & partner? Likely not.
