Some of your states are rather clustered together. So while you use Texas as an example, I am not sure that is a brilliant one. AND without a doubt they want to be their own country. I loved Texas. The problem is you need to work together, and it's terribly segregated now... so I am not sure how anyone could achieve that. What is amazing always is in the face of adversity Americans pull together and that is quite magic to watch.
While we banter in Australia between the states, we do work rather well together...
Wouldn't giving power to the states lead to segregation and confusion, John? The US has many states and if they were to all rule separately on their own agendas?
Cute song, by the way, but it simplifies it somewhat , doesn't it?
"Some reindeers, y'know. He used ta hook them onto da sled, and then he used ta stand up inside da sled and hold on to da reins, and then call out their names, like, On, Donner! On, Blitzen! On, Chewy! On, Tavo! C'mon, Becto! And then, the reindeers used ta take off into da sky and fly across da sky, man!"
Thanks for joining the fray. I am not familiar with 8 tracks, although I do understand what they were, mostly because I have read about them. I do remember boom boxes and I recall when CD players came out and I thought they were silly, it was too easy to scratch a CD--They couldn't possibly last. Now I literally own hundreds of them.
My computer technician was telling me a week or so ago that he actually owns a jukebox. He bought one for his garage and his friends love going over to visit him. Can you imagine having one these days? I used to love going to the pub after work, catching up with friends and listening to a few tunes on the Jukebox.
Well thank you for keeping me awake... I had to go through your list. I love Chris Isaak's voice and that song is ... well ... if that doesn't make you want to slow dance with someone, nothing else will.
You really do have me hooked on Stone Sour...thank goodness I ordered the CDs. And Lifehouse always hits the spot. It's after 1am now... We are another day closer to Christmas.
