RE: A question about american dollars

Well, all I can say is that according to fas.org the Exocet is not listed in US inventory...dunno

I'm sure you meant Harpoon, Rich...I can't see the US using a French missile!laugh

RE: Bacon

Oh heck Tracy, I buy a pound and leave it in the fridge for up to 3 weeks as I use it. The meat is smoked so it lasts a long time refrigerated before it goes bad. I usually throw it out if it starts to turn brown or green! grin

cheese omelet & bacon! I'm on my way! hug

Take a moment to read what you typed before hitting "submit". It might make more sense.

RE: Any girl intersted to chill out with me?

Has no one noticed that Alicia26 has posted a pic of Evangeline Lilly (from LOST)?

RE: Why would people have more than one profile on CS?

Having 2 profiles on the same site alludes to deception in my mind. Delete one of them.

RE: GOOGLE IDIOTS....

I never thought you were here to impress me and I have a life. What's your point? roll eyes

RE: GOOGLE IDIOTS....

RE: GOOGLE IDIOTS....

Wikked said: "Just because you have information, and very educated accurate information at that..."

Having Googled information hardly assures "Educated and accurate".

Google is nothing more than a facilitator that points you to numerous websites that may contain the information that you require. The real trouble lies in which sites are chosen by people to gather their information.

Too often, many are lulled into thinking that anything they read on a website is truth, forgetting that websites are user generated and as such, can contain or say anything that they want.

Reliability of the source is paramount.

RE: Best Thing Since Sliced Bread.....

There are so many but one that comes to mind that is so simple is the little plastic closure used for milk bags and bread bags and such. I wish I had patented that one!

RE: I have a ?? about welding

well if you'll settle for wood I can handle that! grin

RE: Should a parent be accountable

The trouble is the number of parents that seem to think it's acceptable for their children to use foul language and misbehave. Then there are those that allow their kids to view movies that are not meant for that age on the premise that they will see it sooner or later. Wrong! There's nothing wrong with letting them wait until they are old enough.

All I know is that I have 2 fine sons aged 19 & 22 that turned out to be mature, respectful, well mannered gentleman that I'm proud of. There is no question that the principles and morals that both their parents taught them paid off in the end.

RE: Should a parent be accountable

It's not just the fact that corporal punishment is strongly discouraged and in most instances illegal it's more the fact that too many parents today don't discipline their children the way they should.

Many parents today treat their children more like adults thinking that this will help them in the end. It won't. Children are just that - children - and need to have a firm hand in dealing with misbehaviour. A "time-out" is far too lenient for many cases where firmer discipline is required.

RE: I have a ?? about welding

I think that a "rod-man" is a steel worker that installs reinforcing bars (or rebar).

RE: update about Katine's mom....

Thanks for the update, thoughts and prayers continue.

RE: Women, what do you

Well I don't know who you're referring to there, you hockey puck, but I happen to have always looked and felt younger than my age and have few wrinkles, still have all my hair!...speaking of which...why DO you wear that ballcap? laugh

RE: Should a parent be accountable

In private it's not my concern but in public a parent is decidedly responsible for the actions of their children. If they cannot control them then they should be seeking professional help.
