I lived and worked in Dubai for several years...it was some time ago, but don't think it has changed too much work wise. The best thing to do is to start searching while still in your country, if a company wants to employ you it will be your work permit provider or also known as "sponsor", it is very difficult to change sponsors later as not many a willing to go through the paper trouble. If you find an employer they will send you all you need, such as working visa and so on... Good luck!
