My idea was that most people, men and women, tend to show only their positive side online to attract more interest (or keep that interest) and when they come across someone who just behaves like he behaves in real life they get a bit offended. And when a woman says there are no good men or vice versa, it usually means "I forget that I am not flawless myself"...
A constant, endless state of positivity brings to my mind the thought there is some well hidden or well controlled problem with emotion management. If someone is "happy" all the time and nothing can make him show a bit od feeling down or angry or any other negative-ish feeling...I won't trust such person for a second. Stuffing down and deep inside your negative emotions can only harm your mental health. As for the "not looking" members, many just can not afford to start a relationship at that moment...due to different reasons...
Well, I guess we call many people friends just because life hasn't presented an opportunity for them to prove that title. I know a lot of people but my true, proven friends are just very, very few. That doesn't make me a freak loner or socially troubled... I fear more the people who have too many "friends"...
