Labour? You are kidding us... Do you know how many "refugees" out of the 1.2 million are working...about 30 000. And do you know why? Because the businesses say it is extremely hard to train them not only to do the job but learn the language too. In average they say it take more than 1.5-2 years to make a worker out of a refugee... Yes, I have been to more than 40 countries, some do not require visas(not EU ones) and some do...Never crossed at a point of my personal choice though... Why do people go there isn't the question here... Who is rejecting who? There are laws, as you said, you can not let everyone in, and you can not tolerate illegal crossing of the border too... It should be decided on a gov level and there should be negotiations and possible number of work permits issued... Does that sound unfair to you? By the convention refugees have to be accepted and remain (until farther notice) in the first country they enter, so, crossing several countries to arrive at a country of your choice is classed as economic immigration...
Ok, you ask why Bulgarians go to UK, you could ask why British leave their country too, there are more than 10 000 Brits permanently residing and working in Bulgaria and several more thousands that own properties and spend certain time in the country... It's called free choice in a Union of countries... And let me ask you something, Life... Crossing the border illegally is not breaching the sovereignty of the country? Very interesting... When you travel, do you go through the border control and have a visa or you choose a place and you just enter the country?
