People can kill with or without a gun...one should not wait to see what the other one will use... I am afraid it has built up too much in USA, seeing photos of tiny kids holding massive rifles, mothers having guns near baby cots and so on...it is a family tradition already. It seems impossible to reverse that process.
You should have married him... Men don't like to be just friends and if he did all this for you may be he wanted you to look at him with different eyes... Missed the moment?
There are guns because there is fear... Nobody, who feels safe will buy himself a gun. There is some kind of "weapon culture" in USA... Wishful thinking can not change anything...
It's a very hard profession, and sadly not many realise it. Only who have done it himself or like you, feared every single hour while their loved ones are on duty can understand. We are talking a life being at stake every day...
It's too late. The statistics show that there are more guns than people in USA. It says there are 40 million more guns than people...and that's the licensed ones, guess how many illegal are on the streets...
Oh, hope it's not going to become a wave of revenge... The moment a policeman puts his uniform on and goes on the street he becomes a walking target. How easy is that?! And how he feels in a situation where his life is threatened it's only him who knows...
Exactly, a police man can not be emotional and make a difference if he is approaching someone from a white ghetto, black ghetto or someone who went to University... If a policeman says "Don't move" it means exactly that. I wonder if he shot the policeman first, how political it was going to be? And who was going to protest?
