I believe it is very rare for a human being to experience just one and only big, perfect, everlasting... whatever love. Every love has it's own magic, strength, colours... Usually the "Greatest" love is the one that never happened, because of various reasons, the most dramatic one, the one that leaves the question "What would have been if..." unanswered and covered in mysticism...
By the way, you are saying that companies are offering him a job, that means he applies for job after all...not a single company will come to your door to offer you a job... So, the whole story is probably a bit different, isn't it?
There are so many women who don't want to work and expect to be looked after by the man, so why not the opposite?! If the woman is fine with that, it is her personal choice...

I think this idea is totally wrong. I had few classmates with different learning disabilities and the stress for them was enormous. We all were very understanding and patient with them but after all we didn't feel good to keep a slower pace of progress. It is not good for both sides... JMO

And yes, looks matters as one need to be attracted to the other, well, different people have different understanding of what is attractive... You can have the best, sweetest personality on Earth, but if you've been on the dole forever(no job is good enough for you), you and the sofa have become one whole thing, you shower once a month and "messy" is your middle name, no, you won't be my mate, soul mate or whatever you want to call...
