No? And the aged couples ( who are together for 40-50 years) who have lived with much less than our society offers, have passed difficult times together, and today are walking hand in hand like at their first "rendez-vous challenging the younger ones in vitality and steadiness?

I do believe that there is more then one person who I am compatible with.
As in how to make something work, I think similar background, goals and values are the basis, to keep 2 people happy it is to engage, communicate, laugh - WANTING to spend time with each other and not arriving at a point where you have nothing to say to each other.

Yes there is! My grandparents were together for 65 years before they passed on. My aunt and uncle have been together for 50 years now. I think there is hope.
