For a government to enforce these things in the private (family) lives is not something I am in favor of. Why not say if you are a smoker, ya can't have kids ....come on. BULL. BUT WE SELL IT!! HA HA ..whatever.
How far should they go to ban smoking - recently in the news it said "they" are thinking of making it a chargable offence is you are caught smoking in a vehicle that also has children riding in it.
Do you think this is to far?
I'm not a smoker - and personally am glad there is no longer smoking in resturants, malls or bars. In your own home - in your own car should be your own choice. I don't think there is a smoker out there that doesn't know the effects of smoking. If they are going to put such strict restraints on smoking and if smoking is so bad for people why the heck don't they just make it illegal. ( I know the power of the large corporations, money and taxes)
It's happened again another bus accident, Greyhound slide off the road - three dead - other injured. Recently there have been school bus accident, one in Calgary where a child died.
Should there be seatbelts in buses, school buses, city buses,, greyhounds, tour buses?
Should this be enforced (who is responsible for enforcing) Do you believe that wearing your seatbelt in your own vehicle should be an option or manditory?
One day little Johnny heard a noise and peeked into his parents room to check it out.
He opened the door to see his mom bent over the dresser and dad going at it behind her. Johnny's dad saw him and gave him a little wink as Johnny closed the door.
After business was finished Dad went to check on little Johnny. He opened his bedroom door to find Grandma bent over the dresser and little Johnny going at it behind her.
Dad yelled, 'Johnny, what the hell are you doing?!'
Little Johnny replied, 'It's not so funny when it's your mom is it?!'
I've lived in my plac since June and twice now this has happened.
1st time I was in the upstairs bedroom at night lights were out except the oven light. if you looked out the door of the room you looked into the kitchen. My dog sat at the doorway and growled - staring into the kitchen. She did this for about a minute or two then stopped and came back into the room.
2nd time - Sleeping in my bedroom, door was closed about2 am she jumped off the bed and stood at the door growling. I got up, didn't turn on the lights and oened the bedroom door, she wouldn't leave the room so I nudged her. The bathroom door is about two feet from the bedroom door - she went that far and stopped growling again. (yes I was nervous) I nudged her again and reached in to turn the bathroom light on. She stood growling staring into the hallway a little longer then stopped and looked at me.
Spirits - I believe.
There have been many time when I will catch something out of the corner of my eye but when I look there is nothing there.
I think we should have the right but only in extreme circumstances, incurable and dibiltating. There is so much more involved than just taking your own life, you have to consider how it will affect loved ones.
If I knew that I was going to loose the ability to think rationaly, feed myself or control my bodily functions and there was nothing that could be done about it - it would be a consideration.
No. I think single parenting is a tough thing for anyone to do. But having said that would go back and remarry my ex knowing what I do now....absolutley not.
Was watching Oprah awhile back and what ever relationship guru she had on said you should be single for one full year before dating anyone and you should date them one full year before introducing them to your kids.
What I don't get is why we are never ready for it - it happens every year. I was going to clean up the halloween decorations this weekend - should have done it yesterday instead of today. Now they are all covered in snow. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr
Morning Dawn - how's the schooling going. It's tough to get back into it but I know you can do it. You have the drive and desire - that's what it takes.
