RE: If you were a stone....which one would you be????

A tourmaline or tourqouise.

Tourmalines are transparant but very dark so they're hard to see through.

Tourquoise just because I like the color.

RE: The Peace Emoticon

Hmmm n stuff.

I'm going to stop using all emoticons now.

Eventually there will be a thread about every single one.

I remember a time here when the dancing banana was the most dreaded thing since Tyrannosaurus.

Now its the peace face?

My how things change, without changing at all...

Noble Is The Eye

copyright 2007

Noble is the eye beholding,
Crying, weeping, laughing, scolding.
Taking in a point of view,
The camera's ready but are you?

What you see, is what will be,
Can you make it beautiful times three?
Can you touch, can you taste,
Or is this dream really Crest toothpaste?

Minty fresh now, perhaps there's time
To bust on out just one more rhyme.
Bust a cap into this noble eye,
There's too much sadness, I think I'll cry.

Bawl my eyes out, bleeding streaming,
Hold my mouth to keep from screaming.
Shaking with so much emotion,
I'm in need of a magic potion.

Sleep now, maybe, the cradle rocks,
Drowning in the sound of clocks,
Time, they say, heals all wounds,
Death is the last of countless boons.

RE: Marcial arts...do you use them for your own defence?

I know Aikido, but I've only used it once in a fight.

I like it because it is always a reactionary discipline, it doesn't teach how to hurt others, unless they're trying to hurt you.

grin peace

RE: How much do you pay to have your car washed???????

I don't have a car, so I don't pay anything. grin confused uh oh

RE: The Perfect Couple

Hmmm...

I like jokes that keep on going and going...

Are you sure there wasn't a bunny in the car, too, getting ready for Easter with lots of batteries? Oh, wait there was, because everyone knows the perfect man is battery operated. rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Rain

Thanks Robert.

Yeah...its a blustery place I live in...seems to always choose that weather on my days off too...mumbling

Not that today is my day off, but, in about 20 minutes, it will be my weekend...yay

But, as usual, its graying up out there.

RE: have you ever fell in love with someone over the internet and met them in real life? how did it go?

Lol...I did the bird on purpose.rolling on the floor laughing

I prefer bird to America's dame, broad, or chick, to mention a few.

My favorite is wench, but that wouldn't have gone over that well either.

I could have called ye a sheila, but thats another continent altogether...tongue

As for players. sigh You'd think so, but, hell, I live in possibly the rainest region of America...the weather in the NW is often compared to English weather. barf

RE: what does your name say about you

Tracy means "Battler" in Gaelic. Must have been a fiesty baby.

Rain

Bleak the sky is, gray and sad,
Where'd the sun go, is it mad?
Even sunshine needs time off,
To recharge and take a toff.
So when the rain comes, never fear,
The Sun's relaxing, and drinking a beer.
And meanwhile green things sprout,
Grow like crazy, was there any doubt?
The forest drinks up all the rain,
Needles and leaves, a mossy stain,
Frogs are croaking, birds hunker down.
Horses snort and turkeys drown.
Washing, poshing, poking through,
Here comes the Sun, now, and
The skies are turning blue.
Birds flutter in mud-filled holes,
And people come out with fishing poles.

Ah, that freshly rained smell!

RE: why do they allway pick on me

Weirdo magnet!tongue

Seriously...I can relate.

The only advice I can give you is to lock your door and never come out. People are scary!

laugh doh

RE: are there any old tv shows you wished they would bring back again ?

Perry Mason is still on where I live. Every day at noon.

Amazing how he always gets a passionate confession right in front of the jury, every single time. Bit unbelievable nowadays, but always dramatic.

RE: are there any old tv shows you wished they would bring back again ?

Arnold Ziffle is the MAN!thumbs up

And then somehow I have to pay alimony. laugh

RE: having a romantic or other relationship with somebodyelse stealthly during marriage life can be

key word is stealthy here. If it's stealthy than its dishonest. If that works for you, rationalize it however you like.

Its still LYING!!!scold

mumbling

RE: having romantic or other relationship with someonelse after the marriage can be justyfied

after marriage=married

After divorce=not married.

Subtle, but definately a line there.doh

RE: Favourite song lyrics...again.

Or he wont.

RE: have you ever fell in love with someone over the internet and met them in real life? how did it go?

Nosy little bird, aren't you?tongue

Writing a book, lw?conversing

I met someone online, moved LD and things went well for about three months. But I couldn't find a job, and reluctantly moved home after it became obvious I wasn't going to. I managed to get a few art commisions while I was there, otherwise I wouldn't have made it 3 months.

It was kind of down hill from there after that though. We remained "together" for awhile, but I ended the LDR about three months after I returned. She still had a few years left on her MD degree and the distance just wasn't going to work out.

So, word to the wise. Don't make an impulsive move to somewhere without researching the job market, and making appropriate plans first. JMO.

Peace out all.peace

RE: Hey my name is Courtney.

per·cep·tive –adjective-

having or showing keenness of insight, understanding, or intuition: a perceptive analysis of the problems involved.

RE: Favourite song lyrics...again.

I'd have to agree with you there Robert.

I could go into a lengthy diatribe on just about any song ever written by the Moodies. But I won't...laugh

I've been listening to them since, well, birth.

I even wrote my Dad's eulogy using snippets of song titles and themes from their career. I'll track it down and post it here sometime.

I'm Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band)

(John Lodge)

I'm just a wandering on the face of this earth
Meeting so many people
Who are trying to be free
And while I'm traveling I hear so many words

Language barriers broken
Now we've found the key
And if you want the wind of change
To blow about you
And you're the only other person to know, don't tell me
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band.

A thousand pictures can be drawn from one word
Only who is the artist
We got to agree
A thousand miles can lead so many ways

Just to know who is driving
What a help it would be
So if you want this world of yours
To turn about you
And you can see exactly what to do
Please tell me
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band.

How can we understand
Riots by the people for the people
Who are only destroying themselves
And when you see a frightened
Person who is frightened by the
People who are scorching this earth.

I'm just a wandering on the face of this earth
Meeting so many people
Who are trying to be free
And while I'm traveling I hear so many words

Language barriers broken
Now we've found the key
And if you want the wind of change
To blow about you
And you're the only other person to know, don't tell me
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band.

I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band.

How can we understand
Riots by the people for the people
Who are only destroying themselves
And when you see a frightened
Person who is frightened by the
People who are scorching this earth.

Music is the traveller crossing our world
Meeting so many people bridging the seas
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band.
