Well, Just got back from a nice dinner at mom's house with family and it sure is nice to eat some really good tasty food! After dinner we plated some guitar...my Sister had her Gibson SG and her son (my Nephew) had his Godin 5th ave. Acoustic/electric. Not a word of anyone heading out to go nuts on black friday..LOL. I think it is a special time for an elite group of specially trained operatives! LOL Thanks for the laugh last night and the very wild videos!!! I wonder how many are getting their thermos filled with strong coffee and dressed for the cold to be the "FIRST" in line! But in all fairness I do hope that few or none are harmed in the frenzy, no matter where they are in the world.
Maybe this would be a good day to just make your own wild videos! I can only imagine what this year could be like!...but maybe people will be a little more relaxed NOT...LOL.
Now I have some very nice friends in Canada but never really asked about this Black Friday there.. it seems that it is a bit more under control and from what I hear the large stores are still giving great deals! just no huge lines or the insanity. Pretty cool.
Don't forget about the times they run into each other while they wait for hours in those fuel lines! I have seen that as well. After awhile people lose concentration and pop a clutch and then oops!
There is a woman with about 6 electric toasters in one of those that just makes me laugh.( she seems to happy!).. People actually do this year round at the big second hand warehouses as they have to stand behind a line and they roll out these huge bins on wheels that contain random garbage (old broken junk) that others have thrown out! LOL...they just go insane...and then at the register they weigh it and sell it to them by the lbs. I wonder if there are videos of that as well...this is kinda like a pre black friday event for some I suppose...they can get all mentally equipped to block out all the chaos.
it has been awhile but I know what you mean about the crazy petrol lines..I mean when there has been a shortage or something of that sort. People sometimes will risk the lives of everyone around them to save a bit of change per liter/gallon...
At "Target"? and "Walmart" ?? Not even on a good day! LOL.. I never like to go into those ones. And after all those people waiting they all have to get to the bathroom!!
LOL..yeah,,that was picture. LOL. But here is a very wild one from last year...I don't know what state it was.. but Walmart is a crazy place any time of the year....And hate to say it but I think they probably have a great deal on an Ipad that I would like to get. But as you can see some people get pretty caught up in the hype. I have never seen this happen though I have seen some pretty aggressive shoppers! LOL. Just look at how even though this is going on so many are still going crazy over some other line or "item"
People (many) will even camp out the night before to be there first to get the "best" deal. I admit I did get a couple of things that were a great deal but I just don't like to get caught up in the big crowds. I don't know if it is the "biggest" bargain day in the US but it must be one of the bigger ones for sure.
"Black Friday" has been a big sale day after USA Thanksgiving and just gets more and more crazy it seems. But now I understand that it has been catching on in several other countries. Have you see it or participated in your Country? ( I went out once when I was working in a Mall Hair Salon..it was basically insane, lol.. have you, do you??
Though I have not chose to "vote" it seems you have so far had more men participate then women. Not sure what that really means but maybe it has something to do with the "Spirituality" you spoke of earlier........ uhhh, good luck..I guess...
How about people that really just love to listen to music and don't we all?? Here is an app that you can get for free right now. It will tell you what the name of the song is that is playing! It does not even have to be on the same device. I just played a "Blondie" video on my laptop and the ipad (which is sitting close enough to hear the other..no cords) after about 2 seconds it showed the name of the song and a album cover. Now I wish I could just listen to anything and know what it is...I am a bit skeptical that it will know every song.....but who is to say? and free is free, LOL. here is the link.
here is a free app. (for now) it is pretty basic..works on ipad and iphone. It makes sounds. LOL...sine wave, sawtooth wave and so on. I just tried it out and it is probably not something you will make a song with but it is entertaining to see what sounds you get by moving your fingers across the touch screen. It is there..you might have to uncheck where it says "ipad only".

Ok..maybe just share one. Might get a laugh anyway..or.. So out of nowhere I got a text message from a guy that probably talked with me I figured when I had ran a local ad for meeting up with other musicians. I didn't answer right away as I thought I would be smart to try and remember who this person was and what we had talked about. But before to long I got another text and I finally just acknowledged it with a simple "ok" LOL..nothing more. So I finally put it together in my mind that this is the same guy that was on the other side of Portland and wanted to do some kind of dual Keyboard work...not really interested in my stuff from what I remembered but before I could ignore it more I got another text asking if I could call at a certain time...so I did. I called this guy and at first I thought I just had interrupted him as he was talking to several people at the same time. It didn't take to long to realize he was plowed and was telling me the same story over and over then asking me what he had said as he keot forgetting..Then I realize that I had actually went to this person's home and attempted to play there while a big "Chris Farley" like guy practically fell all over me and my gear. They were all drunk that night as well. I just didn't have the desire to tell him that we had already met and that it was not so great. So that would really be crazy if someone from his household was on this site!! LOL.. just gonna tell him sometime later that we are probably after different goals.. no reason to put him on the spot. But what a funny conversation! Even at the point he was telling me about shots and pain killers and I am thinking to myself...( yeah duh ) "(I kept telling him I was making some dinner, which I was" takes all kinds I guess. Well thanks KB for letting me get that off my chest. LOL.
With so many kinds of music it kinda varies. I would say that if I like the tone and the colour of the voice with the music (mix) I am fine even if I don't know what is being said. ;-}
