I dont really know too much about how things are run over there Arboles but here, the National Health Service saved many from lives of misery - the health of a nation is paramount surely and if fewer people are left to suffer painful deaths etc isnt that a plus?
I think access to education has been a saving grace in this and other matters - children are the future of mankind, the future of politics etc.
As a pacifist I dread the thought of such confrontations as you mention but with foresight and cohesion we can change things - maybe not as qickly as we would like but a small dolly step at a time...... each opportunity to speak out and touch the thoughts of others is an oportunity for peace - yep, I know, im an idealist but ultimately, politicians have to be people pleasers even though they concede so very slowly.
Changes are happening, it used to be that politicians only came from certain classes of society but now those doors are open to anybody with the gumption to run with the ball........ other changes too such as women are no longer chattels of their husbands and the other social rights we have won.......
I was thinking of you earlier on and will soon write telling you about all the amazing plants i saw on my holiday
I really dont give a monkeys what people believe in so long as they aint trying to push it down peoples throats and denigrating us for thinking differently
A lot of people live in communities where there is fear of letting others know they have doubts - its time all this nonsense was talked about openly - in my opinion of course.......
Just take a look at a random selection of profiles - spiritual not religious is pretty popular which implies that people are thinking about their positions in all this - its a shift in consciousness
The word 'spiritual' has many connotations - I began wondering about it when I started seeing lots of profiles stating "spiritual but not religious" my favourite definition of the word is 'essence'
The essence of mankind is a collective consciousness which has been fragmented by dogmatic beliefs - we are on the path to enlightenment and healing......
Hiya Hun, this is exactly why its so important that people think for themselves rather than practicing sheepleism - the information is out there for those who search, its easily accessible now we have the internet and not everybody sits glued to the tv now that we have an alternative. People use their leisure time very differently now to how our ancestors did, theres a thirst for knowledge afoot in the world and I for one love it.
Society has changed quite drastically in my opinion in the last 50 yrs, we dont have cap doffers so much now, respect is seen as something which is earned and not the automatic right of certain sections of society, in short, people are becoming more accountable.
The Shift is about the move away from dogmatically imposed rules and towards a movement of rationalisation of actions and behaviours. There really is no denying that the last 50 yrs have seen a massive shift in human consciousness.
Theres a lot to be said for heart powered consciousness........ and it is catching on........
Im happy you bought the book too by the way
Memes are the social equivalent of genes except that they are more maleable and the thinking for ones self meme is spreading like wildfire throughout the whole world
RE: Those Who Don't Believe in God or Jesus...
At those doses I have to be relieved about that - but I more than made up for itAhhh, they were the days huh
