I recently heard it rumored Japan was secretly in negotiations to ending WWII prior to the bombing of Hiroshima. If this is true, why was the bomb dropped? Why was a second bomb dropped?

One of my best friends and his wife have been married over 35 years. A couple years ago things got to the point where both needed time apart.
Mike called me one Friday morning and told me he was moving out. I told him this was going to be one of the most difficult things he ever did, being a single man (especially being older) was not a good place to be.
They were separated about 8 months, but kept the line of communication open. Today, both have thanked me for the support I showed to both of them. They both agree that if this separation had taken place their marriage would be over today..
Now for the down side to our law. Who will fill these jobs? It will not be us Gringos unless our unemployment & welfare laws change.
Those here illegally (from Mexico at least) all used stolen social security numbers and ID's to gain employment. They paid into the system, but would never draw from it. Mexicans rented apartments, homes, and mobile homes that now stand empty. They bought vehicles, for cash. That tax revenue is now lost. They bout groceries and other necessities, now sales in those areas are down.
Yes our borders needed to be secured, but there is a down side nobody mentions..
