Tactless, controllingly aggressive behaviour is unacceptable whomever it comes from, but all the more so if it originates from a woman.
Why? I for one expect more from a woman...I just love it when a woman is strong enough to realise her values shouldn't ever be compromised by seeking to emulate male behaviour at it's worst.
Why go toe to toe with an idiot? You only lower yourselves!
Men haven't covered themselves in glory through the ages, bar a few notable exceptions, and so to seek to fight fire with fire is really 'stooping' in my opinion.
Personally, the values women epitomise are love, compassion, gentleness, unselfishness, modesty, discretion, industriousness etc - all highly admirable.
Why aspire to be anything other than full of those qualities? Why compromise yourself by enduring the burden of manifesting a belicose, obnoxious, contrary, spiteful borish nature also?
Of course it's not that simple, women have suffered dreadfully over the centuries, so it's understandable.
I knew a lady of immense intellect, great shrewdness, superlative grace, poise and beauty, wonderful dry mocking wit, and discreet self awareness. I was happy to look up to her, despite her being younger than me by a good few years. So far, she's the only woman I've fallen in love with.
Such women are rare jewels indeed. And men aren't afraid of such ladies, because they are ballanced. It's when the ballance is lacking that the problems start.
Take it as you find it Amanda...most of it's superficial fun...lots of gushing compliments and flattery. But, in amongst all that verbal romping, there's some real good people on here!
You'll get your fair share of attention don't you worry! But just be careful...be cautious.
But the main thing...get stuck into the forums, and enjoy the site!
