Well, at least in some ways, you could say I grew up with those movies. Having grown up and become an adult, I've had to look at life differently. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but there are times that you wish you could be that kid again. I know sometimes I wish I could be that kid again. You know, the kid you used to be?
My favorite film franchise has always been American Pie. American Pie, American Pie 2, American Wedding, and American Reunion. Doesn't get any better then those. It's the nostalgia factor that really appeals to me. I was in high school when the first one came out in 1999.
I remember back in the day, (early 2000's) we had dating shows like Room Raiders, Next, and Elimidate. I'm really curious to find someone who did one of these. Maybe they can tell me about their experience. Did they get a date, find a relationship, or what?
I'm wondering how many people came up with nicknames for their friends. In high school I had a friend and classmate. She always wore a jacket with a tiger on the back. It was a cartoon that reminded of Tony the Tiger from the Frosted Flakes Box. One day, she came into class wearing her jacket as usual. I called her Tigger and it stuck. Not too long ago, I reconnected with her on social media. Even now, I still call her Tigger.
This hit me a few minutes ago. I was watching something online about the last Blockbuster Video Store. Isn't it interesting how Blockbuster is gone thanks the popularity of netflix, but Blockbuster never really hurt movie theaters. Think about this for a second. We had theaters, then came Blockbuster, so we had both. Then several years ago netflix got big and Blockbuster is gone. Despite this, we still have and go to sit in movie theaters.
Just something interesting that occurred to me. Interesting? What do you think?
This just hit me, I've literally been at home 24/7 since the virus struck. I'm so use to it by now. It's going to feel really weird to go out and do things when this is over. Does anyone else hope they still remember how to be normal?
Somebody may have talked about this already, I don't know. We've all heard that women don't know what they want. Well, if they don't know what they want, how is it they're always offering men advice on how to attract women? I've seen a number of videos from people, (Relationship Experts) saying don't do this, or here's what you should be doing better. I think that funny and interesting.
I want to say something, I'm getting tired of hearing the term Millennial. From what I've read, generational identities are wrong. There is an article in The Washington Post from 2015. " Your Generational Identity Is A Lie". Please feel free to read it for yourselves. In the article, the reporter Interviewed a source from the US Census Bureau. The source said that generational labels were made up. It is not standard practice for them to recognize specific groups as generations. There has only been one group to ever be recognized as a generation. The Baby Boomers, that's it. (1946-1964) If you were not born between these years, you are not apart of any generation.
I looked into this a little bit further. I found that different organizations draw the line on where generations begin and where they end. You believe that? The people who believe in these labels can't agree on who is who. So, why don't stop all the labeling, and just say people exist. Let's not pay any attention to these arbitrary things.
At one point, I had mad some pretty good online friends. That was 12 years ago. All of them are long gone. Glad to hear things are really working out for you.
Can't say I would be against a single mom. The problem some of them say they don't want any more kids. I would have to be sure that she is a woman that wants more kids. If not, that would mean I'd never be a father to my own kids. Being a stepfather to somebody else's kids, but not to my own wouldn't be fair.
Yeah, I remember my dreams. I didn't think I was the only one. Nice to some confirmation. Anyway, I've had this reoccurring dream several times. I was the world's wealthiest man. I designed, built, and lived in my own castle.
I've never been to Canada, but from what I here, its a pretty nice place. Americans who've been there tell me Canadians are the nicest people. Reading this is kind of a surprise to me.
It was none of the above. We just had a disagreement. I told her I would always be a friend. She stopped talking to me after that. This was 12 years ago.
Well, lets be honest, if she's doing something like this, I'd say there's a 50/50 chance she is cheating. Speaking for myself, I don't like those odds.
