Does Anyone Here Remember? ( Archived) (7)

I remember back in the day, (early 2000's) we had dating shows like Room Raiders, Next, and Elimidate. I'm really curious to find someone who did one of these. Maybe they can tell me about their experience. Did they get a date, find a relationship, or what?

Man I’m going to tell you something that will be the first time I’ve told it—-I worked SO many hours during the timeframe you’re talking about that I missed the social/leisure milieu. Heck, I’m still catching up watching “Roseanne”, FFS. Buoying up courage, though, I’m getting to the present...Wait! There’s a LoveBoat episode with Burt Ward. Maybe he’ll be poolside... I am getting a little tired of MASH. Come on, seen all 8,000 (or whatever) twice now. Seriously...to answer your question, though, hallelujah, no,I never entered those contest shows , I don’t remember those shows, and I don’t remember if they had dates or found a relationship, in or germane to those shows, or what. I’ve found being interested in my own music, and playing it, and reading actual books, writing real cards and letters with real pens, etc...is where I want to be. Lately a fellow at a party was going on and on about the coming technology, driverless cars, cashless payments and receipts, and so on...the one huge hurdle with that is, what about , Constitutionally, “pursuit of happiness”. The Constitution is not designed for mass appeal; it is designed for the individual’s rights. That’s why we have courts. So, we take years, and hire, expensively, attorneys and other professionals, just to prove our own rights, which, since we already have, should not have to prove.

How cool that must have been! We had a show like that called “Rusty Nails Cartoon Hour”, Rusty Nails was a clown. Portland, Oregon in the 1960’s.
