By the same token, perhaps it would have got more attention from men of it was....
Just wanted to post the fact that originally it was actually a traditonal male garb in some Countries. And that there is a history behind it that we dont know.
Burkas were part of the customary male garb of various peoples inhabiting the Caucasus region (long contested between Russia, Iran, and Turkey, as well as prone to inter-ethnic conflict).
Burkas were adopted by Russian cavalry, and worn as part of the Russian military uniform from the middle of the 18th century until the 1850s, during the Caucasus War. Vasily Chapayev wore a burka as a part of his military uniform.
Many Muslims believe that the Islamic holy book, the Qur'an, and the collected traditions of the life of Muhammed, or hadith, require both men and women to dress and behave modestly in public. However, this requirement, called hijab, has been interpreted in many different ways by Islamic scholars (ulema) and Muslim communities (see Women and Islam); the burqa is not specifically mentioned in the Quran.
I do get your point regarding not being allowed go into banks or some other buildings with your head covered and dont know the amswer to that one, my point is that if some woman want to wear the Burka then I feel they should be allowed to.
Surely people should be free to practice their religious beliefs no matter which Country they are in. I do agree that when you are in a Country you abide by its laws but if a persons religious beliefs are not harming anybody why should they be outlawed.
I do feel that the wearing of the Burka should be a choice.

Have said it before on here that text speak, other then actually in a text, drives me crazy, I dont even read a post if it is written this way.
As for spelling and grammer, I used to proof read for a company I worked for and find myself seeing the smallest spelling errors, drive myself crazy sometimes lol
That charge is not the reason for how I feel. He was a great entertainer at one time yes, and I had many a great night dancing to his music.
His weirdness in thge later stage of his life, the surgery, bizarre mask wearing, paying women to have his children, mockery of a marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, the list goes on.
I am of the mind that if someone was not a good person when they were alive they were still nbot a nice person just because they are dead.
Well hun of course I respect your opinion. But I reserve the right to be of the opinion that just because he is dead it doesnt change the fact that I do not have respect for him.
I am hoping that his poor children might have some chance of a semblance of normality, something the poor things havent had so far.
Well if you are going to literally stick to talking about clothes size...if the hips and stomach are not in proportion then the size (of the clothes) does matter as the top would have to be a different size to the skirt/trousers.
Only takes a few seconds to send a text so having kids should make no difference there. As regards a call, if kids are young might be easier after they have gone to bed.
RE: The Wearing Of The "Burka"
So you agree that the French shouldnt change their law to ban them?
