Cosmetic reasons...hair actually acts as a protection for the body.. It helps maintain the bodies temperature..helps rid the waste toxins of the sudiferous glands through the pores... eyebrows and eyelashes protect eyes by decreasing the amount of light and particles that go into them. The fine hair that covers the body provides warmth and protects the skin. Hair also cushions the body against injury.....
Egyptian men were one of the first to remove their body hair...again purely for cosmetic reasons..
Different cultures produce more or less hair densities...
Personally I like the all over smooth look and touch...

Well I always listen to either Nora Jones or Enya soft in the background...have a glass of red and generally fall asleep in no time...but I also have the ocean to listen to so that is a soothing lullaby..

I understand what you are saying...I guess that what is attractive about Bastian..he rides on human diversity and goodness rather than colour..I think if a group of white people were in the company of a majority of dark skinned people the same...do me a favour would apply?? perhaps..
