I joined this site end of 2011. Wasn’t expecting anything back then coz was more interested in their free online games.
A year after joining, I replaced my profile pic that of an IKEA biscuit wrapper to ones that showed my face. The messages slowly trickling in. Before that, even them scammers steered clear!
All I wanna say is this site has been good to MiMi
I’m 13 hours ahead of my Arty and I sometimes have to sacrifice my sleep in order to be able to Skype with him but the rewards are immeasurable coz we’d have a tremendous good time talking, reminiscing, joking..... but sometimes arguing too but it’s always HIS fault!
Both these countries were ok, I adapted very easily coz they, especially Singapore, were very similar to Malaysia. I’m Chinese therefore Macau was not that bad either. I assimilated right away, no problem at all.
I’m now in my mid 40’s and in the process of getting my US visa and relocate to where my Arty is.
I’m really looking forward to start my life in a foreign land. It shouldn’t be very daunting coz I speak the language. Only problem I could foresee is food....
I love our local food. Very affordable to eat in Malaysia. For a lousy and lazy cook like me, that’s nirvana!
Friends? I make friends easily, sometimes too easy for my own good With today’s technology, it’s easy to keep in contact with your friends wherever you are.
Career? Never had one so not a problem for me to relocate.
In my opinion, when you go to a new place, you must go with an open heart and mind. Mingle with the locals, get to know their culture. With the right attitude, I think all of us would be able to do just anything, yes?
RE: Question for Women
