RE: True Love?

You'd think that one would lead to the next in succession, right? But honestly, I wouldn't think this would be such a bad thing. However, I do like sleeping in my man's arms & waking up to him pulling me close & kissing the back of my neck... daydream smitten

RE: Say something....to anybody...TRY to be nice...

Ups & downs. Not unlike any other week actually. It's just springtime & I tend to do a lot of self-reflection during this time of year. Introspection can be a sad thing..... dunno

But hey, I'm going out with friends later. Just waiting for my best friend to get done working. I have a 4 day weekend, myself! banana yay

RE: Say something....to anybody...TRY to be nice...

Actually, I thought about going to the bookstore to see if they have it. thumbs up hug

RE: Say something....to anybody...TRY to be nice...

Man, I need to get a freakin' life! dunno doh frustrated

If you could be anywhere...

I'm really sorry to hear this. I can't imagine having grown up without my mother. We were very close. comfort

It reminds me of something that happened about 15 years ago here. I went to a racing party with some friends. My neighbor had been dating this girl who was just coming out of a bad marriage. She had a little 5 year old girl.

After the party was over, she got a ride from this guy & girl. Well, let's just say his judgement was impaired & she never made it home alive, unfortunately. I still wonder about that little girl, who is probably about 20 or so now. I wonder how she's grown up & what her life was like because she didn't have her mother.

Again, I'm sorry. bouquet sad flower

You've certainly come a long way. hug bouquet

I think I remember seeing you post this once before. Baseball certainly does mean a lot to you. Maybe you're not as "big time" because you're in Sweden... and I don't know, I'm not there & don't know how important baseball is there as compared to here. Our athletes are celebrities here in the states, as you know.

But just think about those kids of yours. You can still enjoy doing what you love to do & watch them grow up. You made a choice many men in your situation would've run from. That's commendable. AND you ARE still playing. dunno

RE: Things you women hate to be called by men?

LOL! Ironically, the guy my mom loved for me ended up being busted for having a meth lab in his basement! uh oh

I guess she left the choosing up to me after that.... laugh

If you could be anywhere...

Yes, I saw on TV, a program about a woman with a bionic arm. It actually moved by her using impulses from her brainwaves! Fascinating!

RE: Things you women hate to be called by men?

Ahhh... but there's a difference! You two are committed to each other. The guys who say it to me usually aren't looking at my EYES when they're saying it. roll eyes tongue

If you could be anywhere...

There would be soooo many people I'd visit, if this was possible! I wonder if it ever would be possible. I mean, we've succeeded with cloning. Who would've thought that would be possible, 50 years ago? It was just something that George Orwell wrote about in his book, "1984".

I've learned to never say never to inventions & modernizing. When we were learning about things that might be in the future in school, one of them was WATCHING music on TV! Then MTV came along. Another was looking at a person while talking to them, when they weren't there. Thus, the computer webcam. Doesn't this make you wonder what our children & grandchildren will witness in their lifetime?

RE: True Love?

Then I guess my observation of what 'relationships' are turning into, as stated in another thread, is pretty dead on. The only difference with yours, & I will commend you on this (but I would never have thought differently), is that yours is completely monogamous.

I, myself, have often said this. Even while I was married. We seemed to get along great while we were separated... him in his own place & me in mine. It was when we were always together (on top of each other, so to speak) that the arguing seemed to break out.

I've come to realize that I can be quite a difficult person to live with... ask my new roommate who always says I have too many rules. So, having my own 'space' would probably be the ideal situation for me too! Hhhmmmmm.... I'd forgotten about that. thumbs up

RE: True Love?

I just have one question, T. Are you sure that your g/f isn't just going along with this because she knows it's what you want & doesn't want to lose you? Many women will 'say' it's what they want, when it truly isn't. They will just do what they have to to hang onto someone. In the long-run however, things start to come out & the relationship starts to unravel. JMO wine

If you could be anywhere...

No, see, that's exactly what I'm asking for! thumbs up

I've thought about that whole "Beam me aboard, Scotty" thing myself, several times. Wouldn't it be neat to be able to teleport yourself anywhere in just a moment?head banger

If you could be anywhere...

I often think we've seen so many modern marvels invented in our lifetime. What else could they possibly invent that we would say, "How did I ever live without that??"

Here's another question then...
What things do you think could be invented that haven't been yet? What things could be upgraded/made better in some way?

Yes, I'm detracting a bit... but it's my thread. laugh grin

If you could be anywhere...

It doesn't have to be in your lifetime, Raven. It's actually a pretty open question. It can be in another lifetime. Anytime you wish. wine

RE: Things you women hate to be called by men?

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Yep, that one would definitely be up there! laugh

If you could be anywhere...

If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be? This isn't the normal 'where would you be' question. If you could be at any certain time in your life... past, present, or future; or if you could be at a time before or after your lifetime, where would you choose to be? For instance, is there a certain thing in history you would've wanted to witness, or think will happen in the future & you want to witness? Is there a certain time in your life that you would like to go back to & redo, or something you have been looking forward to in your lifetime that you wish were here?

Think about this before you answer. wine
