RE: I heard a song today that will change my life

The account's already open JB! wine wink And the money from my tax return is in there. I already have a trip to San Francisco planned with cat for May. I want/need to get down to Biloxi & check things out with my father's property... & visit Big John. And I really want to take my babies to Disney World & spoil them rotten. But I need to wait a few years, as Alivia's only 6 months old right now. hug

RE: I heard a song today that will change my life

Good song! thumbs up

Here it is

RE: I heard a song today that will change my life

Great question, Snuggs!! thumbs up Actually, I just saw a movie on On Demand about a girl faced with this very issue.

If I had one week to live, I'd take my family (daughter, her fiance, & my babies) on a vacation, most likely to Disney World. I'd revel in watching them totally enjoying themselves.

I'd put a call in to my lawyer to update my will... yes, I do have one! thumbs up

And last, but not least, I'd say good-bye to all my wonderful friends.

RE: What Is Your Favorite Thing About Where You Live?

I've often said the same thing about Gettysburg. Lived here most of my life, but have never toured the battlefields. dunno

RE: What Is Your Favorite Thing About Where You Live?

I lived there for a couple of years right after I left my ex! Nice town! College town. thumbs up

RE: What Is Your Favorite Thing About Where You Live?

they're = streets

RE: What Is Your Favorite Thing About Where You Live?

I go through it every day, on my way to work. Used to live there. Smells like chocolate, most of the time too. The streets are lined with Hershey Kiss streetlamps & they're brown. Buses made up to look like old trolley cars take tourists around to see the sights.

But... the tourist traffic stinks! doh

RE: I Am Really Curious...... To The Couples Who Met On CS

I might consider it, depending on a few things. I'd really have to know him, i.e., have been talking to & visiting him frequently. Also, right now, I have my father to think of. If I leave, he really won't get the attention he needs from my siblings. And there are my daughter & grandchildren to consider, as well. While I'd be more likely to move if it was just them (my daughter would tell me she wants to see me happy), I'm sure I'd miss them. But it would give them a vacation spot, now wouldn't it?

Technical advice, please

Mainly for the internet & to upload some pics.

OK, thanks! wine

Thanks for the advice! Now I guess I'll also have to take Harry's advice about the broomstick, huh? dunno laugh

Technical advice, please

See, but I'm really trying to stay on the cheap end. The warranty alone for a regular laptop can run about $200! And I, too, would really only use it at home.

I mean, do I really need a full-size laptop? dunno

RE: What's something ya want RIGHT NOW?

Oooohhhhh yeaaaaaahhhh!! It's just what the doctor ordered. thumbs up

And he only lives about an hour away! applause

Of course, when I responded, I HAD TO ask if he was for real or a scammer, because he was just so darned handsome! But he didn't sound like one. dunno grin

RE: Goodbye everyone......please play nice................

Jenny, what am I gonna do without you? I'm really sorry to see you go, truly! sigh moping

RE: What's something ya want RIGHT NOW?

I want the really hot guy who lives near me & emailed me a few hours ago to respond to my reply. applause daydream

Where were you born?

Wow!! You did that from within your mother's womb?? She must have been in AGONY!!! uh oh wow

Technical advice, please

My roommate is an IT geek & says he can get me a refurbished laptop for free. I'm just really tired of waiting. I've been waiting & waiting. I want it yesterday.

I checked out the regular laptops the other week. They ran about $600 on average & then the warranty was another $200 on top of that! I'm just not sure I want to really spend that much. And I'm not easily parted with my money. I keep thinking of other things I need to do with it instead.

I don't know what to do!! But I REALLLLLLY want a computer at home!! sigh

RE: Child Support

wine hug

RE: Women's makeup

Wow! I never would've guessed it!! thumbs up

Technical advice, please

But the netbooks are a scaled-down version of a laptop & quite a bit cheaper. The screens on them are around 8.9" to 10". And the memory's not as much. But I don't think I'll need as much memory. I have no computer at home right now. I haven't for a few years. I'm just tired of having to come over to my friend's house if I want to log on.

RE: Women's makeup

I try to make it look as natural as possible. I don't want to look like a manequin. And it is nice, when I'm not wearing it & can rub my eyes & what-not.

Funny, when I was married, I went to work many times with no makeup on. I guess I didn't care who saw me or how I looked. Also, I think it may have been that my ex was 'dragging me down' a bit.

RE: Women's makeup

Really? Raccoon eyes & all?? confused laugh tongue

RE: Child Support

I'm sorry, but that is so stereotypical. I still don't agree. I've seen the opposite with my very own eyes. That just sounds like a generalization. Each household & situation is unique.

Technical advice, please

I was checking out netbooks today. The salesperson said he has an HP netbook & really likes it. I'm just wondering if any of you have a netbook, & if so, what you think of it? Also what brand do you have? I want a laptop for at home, but don't want to spend an arm & a leg for it. Also, the warranty is much cheaper.

RE: Favorites?

wink hug wine

RE: Women's makeup

I guess I must be a bit vain. I wear makeup almost always. I don't like going anywhere without it on. Maybe that's why I went to beauty school. dunno

As far as nail polish, I wear it on my toenails in the warmer months, only. I can't stand nail polish on my finger nails. My finger pads (cosmetology term = finger tips) actually feel like they're sweating if I wear it on my finger nails. dunno

And I'm not really one to always be applying & reapplying lipstick. Seems like a waste of time. Besides, I have thin lips & it only seems to accentuate that. sigh

RE: Favorites?

Zee, I would be honored, seriously. hug
