RE: What Mistakes do Women Need To Stop Making to enjoy a fun and healthy relatIonship with a man?

True, but I am purposely underfeeding myself during COVID19 and topping up on certain Vitamins, minerals, and protein drinks. I was only 10 lbs overweight and function better at a lower weight. Most who die from the infection are extremely low in D, Zinc, and certain amino acids differing from individual to individual depending on weight along with varying stress levels. Vitamin D may give people with COVID-19 a survival advantage by helping them avoid cytokine-storm when the immune system overreacts and attacks your body's own cells and tissues. Including vitamin D levels which is the negotiator in a COVID19 cytokine-storm as it doesn't suppress the immune system, modulates it, and makes the immune cells less inflammatory. People should be doing tests for vitamins and increasing as needed if low or topping up further in some cases. You can still get sick no doubt... but stats show you have a better chance with stable or slightly higher levels unless medically you can't tolerate the increase.

RE: Can a relationship with a narcissist work?

Gal, I don't have a sister... maybe you think your inflatable doll is my sister as we all know you have weird fantasies. laugh According to Psychology Today, that's like getting information from CNN or believing Dr. Fauci knows something about COVID19... basically misinformation. You've already proven you're insecure and submerged in your own self-pity. My ego is not fragile... the problem is I liked Tom's lunch picture over yours. Ego is 1 of 3 divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory that serves as the organized conscious mediator between the person and reality as a function both in the perception of and adaptation to reality... in short, why get pissed off an me for you posting a half-eaten chicken in a plastic bag with pistachios leftovers all over your table. I just stated his lunch looked better... geeez.

RE: Can a relationship with a narcissist work?

Oh, I agree, I know Gal is not talking about professional relationships and there's no chance in hell he's going to stop a hostage situation... however, his motivation for posting his thread is not as it appears to be, and why I added a few comments that may only be relevant to him. He's antsy because he's not getting the responses he wants and you may have hit a nerve. Oh well... it's only a forum. laugh

You'll do very well on this site. laugh

RE: Can a relationship with a narcissist work?

The reason Gal is getting antsy is because he's not stating what he really wants to say speaking in code. laugh

RE: Can a relationship with a narcissist work?

Narcissists are supposedly self-centered individuals who think and act as the world revolves around them. However, defining Narcissism is important since there are different levels. Are they ones bordering on a mental disorder, or are they simply well educated, confident of what they are doing, hard to deal with knowing facts covering all angles, and able to get the work done under pressure forcing a weaker individual to see them in this manner while an altruist waits around not to hurt someone's feelings, usually have opposing views and values with no solid commitments to anyone.

The bottom line in my opinion the best individual for a job or relationship is usually someone who can be somewhat narcissistic while being equally altruistic, yet able to handle each situation differently as needed using intelligence, logic, and humor in stressful times. For example in a hostage situation, you wouldn't want someone who is 100% narcissistic or 100% altruistic... it just won't work. In extreme cases of narcissism or altruism, it's more of an abnormal behavior where it is headed for mental illness in time able to be destructive to yourself or others.

RE: Scrambled eggs for Breakfast

I use to eat something close to this before COVID19... now just a super protein drink in the morning and new vitamins. Multi-vitamin with Vitamin C, separate Omega-3, CoQ10, Zinc, B-complex, D. Good lunch... light dinner.

RE: Do you believe in free will

I'd still go with medication. laugh cheers

RE: Scrambled eggs for Breakfast

Tom, how about you making an exercise video with you actually in it instead of posting other people... wink wink. laugh

RE: Do you believe in free will

Nah, I don't need therapy... however, I see your medication is working well addressing me properly. laugh

RE: Roast chicken lunch

I think you missed my point, your store-bought chicken in a plastic bag on a table, with whatever you have in the jar and pistachio leftovers is not too appetizing... maybe for you, not others. I never assumed Tom made his own meal... the presentation was better. You're going to be single for a long time... better presentation may find you a woman. laugh

RE: Roast chicken lunch

No offense... but I prefer Tom's lunch. laugh

RE: Do you believe in free will

Free will to me is basically the ability to choose between different possibilities, actions, or decisions unhindered, regarding everything from making judgments to being morally responsible, whether all people have it or not is debatable, especially if you live in a restricted society or your opinions or thoughts are controlled.

For example, you have the freedom to eat not to starve, yet if there is no food available to survive your free will to consume food is removed and the only choice you have left is to find something eatable or die. If morally you can not kill an animal your free will again is restricted, you resort to eating plants or berries or anything you can find... if you have no moral restrictions as time goes on you will even kill humans or steal whatever items are available from others. As seen during wars or similar. At this point you are not acting with free will... you have abandoned all beliefs to survive and psychologically your decisions are based only on living with a killer instinct that is probably handed down through the ages and genetics helping the strongest to carry on the human race whether right or wrong. The genetic code in humans may also have an embedded direction for mankind and we are not yet sophisticated enough to detect it.

The killer instinct is still available to this day in ghettos to dictatorships and free will is usually removed in the weakest individuals who submit having only basic free will in daily life depending on where you live. Science in itself has probably more free will to experiment and explore your beliefs if society allows it and the only limitation you have is the strength of your own intelligence or ability to think independently.

RE: Britain threatens to walk out of trade talks with EU

UK: 15% of Young Muslims Agree People Should ‘Defend Their Culture or Religion with Force’.

Research commissioned by the Tony Blair institute has found that 15 per cent of young Muslims in Britain believe “People should be prepared to go out and fight to defend their religion or culture with force”.

The research, based on polling of 1,011 Muslims and 1,011 white non-Muslims (WNM) aged 18 to 30 in May 2019 by Savanta ComRes, also found that found that 9 per cent of young Muslims believe that “Engaging with non-Muslim institutions, like UK politics” means you are “a traitor to Islam” and “not a true believer”.

A slightly higher 11 per cent agreed that such engagement “undermines the Muslim community”.
