I was looking at information on creative writing courses, then thought I'd look at what kind of organisations might seek to employ someone with such a qualification.
Well, you could have knocked me over. My jaw dropped at what I read. What a boost to all who spend 24/7 on this site and others, cos one job had as a special requirement...
"An excellent knowledge of the online world, in particular social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare."
Heck, I must be so behind the times...What on earth is 'Foursquare'???
Oh, and this is a position advertised by a local company.
Imagine that, someone will be PAID to spend time on these sites!!!
I think if we care, it's not a matter of taking resposibility for a large number of things...mind you, I have met a few 'martyrs' in my time but I digress...
I think 'accountability' is a word I would prefer to use. Ultimately, we are accountable for the decisions we make. And how does one measure 'complexity' of a situation?
Anyway, I must be off doing some work, speaking of taking responsibility. I'm in a different time zone as most of you.
Of-course. Then isn't that the case with all journeys?
And yes, again to us not being responsible for things out of our control. Wel,, to a degree. We are ultimately responsible for how we respond to the situation, which in itself, has an impact. Every action has a reaction in the universe. Best make it your best attempt.
Everyone's ex is different. Some hate each other, some are best friends, and others somewhere inbetween.
So, if an ex were to turn to you, it all depends on where you are in the above, as to the possible intent behind their telling you. They might just regard you as the only person they can trust with such information. Who knows?
Never take such a comment lightly. No matter what your personal beliefs/feelings might. Err on the side of caution and treat it as serious, and take sensible and rational action.
(Actually, I think I must be going mad. I thought I had posted this about 20min ago, but for some reason, my lappy's goblins must have gobbled it up!...Here goes again.....
...Not a great start. I was woken by incessant barking from my border. she wanted the side gate open and wasn't going to let up 'til she got what she wanted. So I had to do the honours, go outside in the cold ...
Now not a peep out of her!
Having said this, I have her to thank for getting me out of bed. It's been useful in other ways.
Ah, don't worry. Tt's what they do. They're like that in Italy, too. But only in the small villages and towns, where the pensioners and others with time on their hands, sit around and play cards, drink coffee, and watch passers by.
Congratulations, catchastar, that is wonderful news.
And I couldn't agree more...With all the challenges and trials that you have both been through in the last three years, there can't be much the two of you can't work through, no longer having the tyranny of distance playing its pesky tricks.
I don't think opening doors for a woman, walking along the kerb side of the footpath (I know, a tad oldfashioned, still..)makes mena and women less equal.
There is still the dance to be danced, Phoenix. And in this dance, there are many synchronous steps. A man still wants to lead, still wants to be the hunter. You can argue against that, Phoe, but as every day goes by, I find that to be more and more true.
If a man opens a door for me, I always say thank you. It is the intention behind the act, not that a woman is incapable of opening the door (though there are some doors which require you to have done a major workout to be able to push it open! ).
I'm in the mood to play 'jack' or should I say, 'jill', in the box, gussi. Nothing related to your post at all, but as you seemed concerned, thought I'd pop in reassure you.
Not sure why they're giving you such trouble. All you need is a passport. Some officials love making things difficult though.
About your Frnech passport, no chance of renewing it? You still have time to go through the Consulate. I had a real to do about getting my dual citizenship, but got it in the end, now I have Italian(EU) passport, too. So if you can get your French one again, it's worth having as a back up, certainly within the EU.
Well, tickle me pink!!!
Thanks, zeus. Time for a bit of googling! It seems shrouded in a bit of mystery...checking in....your physical location.
