Nah, I took lots of side streets and at one time, I drew inspiration from an elderly woman slowly hobbling along on her bike, so I followed her....Figured if she could do it, I should be ashamed of myself. So, if I can do it, so can you
The seaford-willunga track sounds the go. Maybe when I learn how to remove the rear wheel with the mere flick of the wrist I might venture down that way. Errrmmm....That really steeeeeeep hill is AFTER you finish the ride, si???
No biggie, red. No-one is obligated to make comment on this thread if one has no information to add. Yes, I do know Steve was on here after his surgery. I also do know he wasn't necessarily doing fine, but obviously fine enough to log on and post, the times he did so. He might be doing perfectly well now, I just wondered.
And guess what, that's what the thread's about No need to enter here if you or anyone else has nothing to add to the topic, and I say this in the kindest possible way.
Oh, and I don't attend closely enough to posts to pick up on the intricacies of the 'he said, she said' palaver that can go on at times here. So I'm not about to start now.
Haha! I'm too scared to ride my brother's new Piaggio scooter, let alone a harley!
But I'm getting much better at pedal pushing though. I actually rode it into the city for its first service ...Well, walked the last part of the journey, I chickened out in full traffic!
The question is only directed at anyone who might care. Steve is a local, and a very sweet guy, who underwent major surgery many months ago. As a concerned CS'er, I care. Thanks for letting us know you don't. Not necessary, though.
He's probably very busy and taking a break like many of us do. Some for an hour, or a day, or a week or longer....
The only people I block from accessing my profile are scammers. So unless you have another profile... So essentially, you nor anyone else is blocked from my profile, unless you have sent me something untoward that I can't recall right now
NOTE: When someone either 'hides' their profile as I've done recently(sick of scammers!!) or deletes it, no-one can access that profile. Which may be why you cannot access my profile on those occasions. But that would make sense, wouldn't it??
Hiya tarnsnz, just read this....The way you quoted, it seemed that your comment was directed at myself ...Then I realised you were referring to jimbob. I'm a bit slow
I know what you mean, Tarnsnz. While the system is there for genuine need, if it's anything like Oz, most people hate anything to do with social security.
When my son transitioned from school to the workforce, we did exactly the same. I fully agreed that he have nothing to do with 'those idiots', and I supported him financially until he got on his feet. To this day, however, even though he's worked for years, I have never asked him to pay for food and lodging. He's been able to buy a property, and moves into it next month. I'm hoping he doesn't shove me into a home either!
Hi tarnsnz, It sure does suck big time but your son will be fine soon enough as he is a diligent worker with skills. Not sure what your laws are like, but should be similar to Oz, where if you are retrenched or fired through no fault of your own, you are eligible for immediate payment through social security benefits, instead of the usual waiting period. That should help until he (soon) finds another employer worthy of his hard work.
Hiya Tarnsnz, yes, I was reading that at the back of a Coles pavlova box the other day...The ol' argument about who is to claim the honour. I did know it was named after Anna Pavlova and made in her honour. Regardless of the Oxford dictionary, I still bet the debate will continue.
Gonna go have another read of that box afterwards. Ermmmm....I might just have to buy one for a good read back home. Already have (organic) kiwi fruit from NZ and 2 punnets of strawberries...Just need to buy fresh cream!
That's wonderful news. I had every confidence in PA pushing her way through the crowd, forcing her way through to air traffic control to dismiss that iddy bitty ice that was on the tarmac. And the fog? Paaaahhh!!!!
