RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

The updates are sooooo boring that I want to inject some fun. Nobody is stopping your hero on the other hand. He can go on...laugh

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

Well mate, Castro is so alone that he has to resource on a clown like Chavez. On the other hand, you have proved one more time, from millions of previous proofs how bad and oppressive Castro is. Would he have had a better chance if he had kneeled down to your Hawks? Sure, everyhting about him will change automatically. As for the plan, I agree with the rebels to dismiss it, but do not forget to say, please, that many rebel groups there do not either want the West to poke its dirty nose.
Don´t be so forgetful. wave

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

laugh laugh thumbs up Sure, "truths" and "proofs" I feel myself back to my obssesive studies of all kinds of logic and meta-logic...laugh

AS for the Arabs, and Islam, I have also expressed my admiration for its long withstand against the arrogant and rapacious West. Probably, as history looks cyclic, more teachings are needed, more Ruad and Acre battles to come. I will also sit down and watch. wine

RE: gaddafi

Links are not proof of anything, sonny. Sorry.grin

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

What a piece of dung. According to the definition of propaganda, is this not propaganda?
The invasion with humanitarian aid. Hypocritical updates.

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

I have seen Gadaffi´s horror stuff and i have also seen the horror of tyrants promoted by the US. Have you?

Ok, the liberation army will be ready to be welcome with flowers and dances. Dream on, mate. I still think that army can do a lot at home. Both bullies, the Brits and the US have their economies falling apart and will only resource on more agressions to boost some recovery while securing more rapacious gains. And then, the Muslims will be blamed for the oncoming turmoil. They are too stupid to understand the goodness from you. Many people are, right?cheers
Enjoy your day.

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

Your country has always promoted a type of "democracy" affine to its interests. So why again? and then the ensuing turmoil?

Even your tankers or whatever will be taken as intervention by people in the area. You love to be hated. Sick.

Again things are not black and white. Because I am opposed to an intervention I have to be pro-Gadaffi, but certainly I would prefer Gadaffi´s thugs to the dirty boots of your marines.
Stop that show pretending you all care about ARabic people. One dead or alive Libyan is just instrumental according to what you want to do with the country. That is so phony to pretend to care, it is better to argue something different.
You are only promoting another invasion (sure building democracy) history repeated over and over again. Keep doing. I hope you join the freedom/democracy fighters one day when this conflict grows more due to your generosity to spread your "democracy."

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

....is to stay at home rebuilding your crumbling economy and stuff like that..

RE: Libya - Latest Updates Part II

Libyans will appreciate the holy freedom fighters arriving from the west. And the turmoil in the area will freeze to boring levels. roll eyes

RE: GADDAFI,......Protector of Human Rights....Yes....

How do you know they need that crap? Libyan people and yor mind are two different things. comfort

RE: GADDAFI,......Protector of Human Rights....Yes....

You have the feeling and also the poor knowledge. Shinning Path is a corpse nowadays and when it was alive they considered themselves the only pure version of its ideology, therefore NK was out of the question for an alliance.
Not everything is black and white. The Universe is richer than that. I am sorry.roll eyes

RE: GADDAFI,......Protector of Human Rights....Yes....

Because the West is such a holy thing bringing peace and harmony to thsi World. WE gotta be so proud of such a way evolution has taken us.wave

RE: GADDAFI,......Protector of Human Rights....Yes....

The liberation army from the West cannot wait!!help

RE: GADDAFI,......Protector of Human Rights....Yes....

I got the feeling that you are calling them...laugh

RE: GADDAFI,......Protector of Human Rights....Yes....

He would look better if he was a US ally, right? That is the best make-up...

RE: The Atheist Self-refuting Propositions

That skepticism belongs to the impossibility to capture whole segments of reality and keep them as inmutable truths.
It is more pedantics to believe, as the scholastics thought that everything was known -in principle- because there was a God knowing all that, a God who were always revealing it to the administrators of their power on earth.

RE: The Atheist Self-refuting Propositions

The God inside each individual cannot be discussed efficiently in terms to refute or accept it. It is purely emotional. By the way I agree with most of the epistemological axioms you have listed, but they cannot be used to dismiss or welcome any God.

God is dead, stated Zarathustra, and I have lived to see the truth in that statement. Still, it does not prove anything.

RE: Freedom

AS for the hawkish version of freedom, well, nothing to say for now. A new invasion...oops!! libertarian expedition is getting assembled...

RE: Freedom

To be able to play with a few choices, not many, justa few, I guess.

Effective method of discussion and learning?

Zen Buddhism

A University Professor went to see Nan-in, a Zen Master, to find out more about Zen.
As their meeting continued Nan-in was pouring Tea and continued to pour even though the cup was overflowing.
The Professor cried. "Enough! No more will go in!"
Nan-in replied "Like this cup you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"

Is it?

Ayahuasca path

There are two many links that talk about Ayahuasca from many points of view, intentions and degrees of knowledge. You will find so many there. In this country, the Ayahuasca experience is another type of tourism which is terrible. There are some big companies making money from people´s good intention but there are also people who come here and try to find shamans and end up finding crooks or the sort.

One complicated aspect of Ayahuasca is the combination of plants. The Kallawayas , for example, who are Andean people, prepare it and have different conventions to the jungle people. THis is not about the lack of vines in the highlands (as the Kallawayas travel long distance to get any plant they need) but about the ways the shaman perceive reality and the purposes of the specific ceremony (time of the year, people involved, problems challenging the community, etc) In many websites you will read that Ayahuasca is a plant with miraculous properties. Well, not true, Ayahuasca is a brew combining different vines and plants whose combined effect is absolutely different to the isolated components. This is precisely part of the power of the shaman, to read reality or what we call reality in a different way. The shaman does not have biochemical or botanical knowledge in the Western sense, but a much more powerful way to approach those entities that live in the jungle. In other words, any single statement from a scientific discipline has a much more powerful equivalent in his mind and reading of reality. This is why no approach in terms of our intellectual tools can even get closer to the shaman perceptions. Some of the psychedelic theories expressed like many people (Castañeda, Mc Kenna and others) are just attempts that do not give any fruit in the practical world of shamanism (for example, those theories could not be useful to combine plants in a proper way for a specific disease or mental problem).

Here a few informative sites. In fact, the only way is to become an initiated in order to know more things. Things that are not communicable because they belong to a different realm of perception (a key point when we think that writing was a low acquisition of mankind to communicate things to people in general, it was the beginning of civilization, but of a type of lower civilization)

In Spanish:

This is a talk from Terry Mc Kenna. I have not had the time in my life to go through all their works and have a better idea bout him, though he is admired by many people. You can read:

Also this set of talks in youtube:

Ayahuasca path

I deeply admire the knowledge from the Celts, and other less known European magic cultures. Plants are just one way of inspiration but there are some others. I would like to know more about those cultures. What has been written is usually distorted stuff and has gone through the interpretation of materialistic cultures like Romans , Christians and others..wine

Look for
"The Blackwell Companion to Judaism" as a start in your local library and then you can go for other books and papers mentioned in the sources-cited section. wave
