Super-power is a concept from old times. I do not care what name can suit China in the present situation as a power but I know they are poised for global hegemony. I do not knwo why some people take the statement that the US is in tatters (as an old superpower)as anti-US islamist propaganda. That is bloody bigotry.
I think in this whirl of happenings (the universe) we have to come to fit into something and dance our own songs and recite our own madness, but does it mean we are here to complete a certain masterplan or even the evolution of something? I think that idea is too fairy-talish and toxic for our existence. Personally I am not still cured of thinking that the trajectory of the two branches that have composed my existence (father´s and mother´s) have worked into something and I am right here to complete it. When I feel free of any ego disease I feel this is absolute rubbish..but sometimes I go back to the ego crap and then I htink I was born to do something.... Through my life I have seen the devastating effects of this legend...
I like it but I do not have to rewind further in the past in this environment of a hooking website...so maybe the Muslims were guilty and they were only punished by the Christians? uhmmm.okay.. if that is your point , you are served Sir.
well after being slaughtered with the Christian sword and the civilising machine guns during the last colonial wars..some of them (the bigots)feel they have the right to pay with the same coin, however wrong they are in choosing their victims.
I know some muslims who would get appalled and with a grimace in their face will turn away thinking of how rude and ill-mannered I am. I think you are dissapointed but not all muslims will jump on my throat for that... some might even get a kick out of my stupid bad judgement of the prophet..
It can be traced back to Russell and his set of all sets.... I just htink that to talk about right or wrong makes no sense in many fields .... perhaps in all fields as it is not even appropriate in mathematics.. .that is to me the sense of BB´s statement...
This is quite true in OZ and Canada where I have seen them by tonns. No offense to general Italian men, some I know are really funny and we have had good times drinking, smoking joints and certainly with female friends (I did not notice the ladies were so crazy about them but women master the art of dissimulation, then I do not know)..
Back to heavy BS?? You are incorregible...!! Well, I might change my opinion of God if when I meet him he offers me a big spliff... then we can go down to good terms almost about everything...!!!
Yes, friendship is.... well, now I am a good friend of my ex who used to be a driller to me, and nowadays I just wish the best for her in her life (while I used to grab my daggers and jump at her throat by being sick of her stuff, a true arsehole of course). Anyway, I still think love-seeking is -in the majority of people- just a selfish action to get to our goals therefore it prevents the formation of real friendship and wonderful bonds between people.
Ok.. I understood that she was just asking. But I have also read a couple of scornful opinions about the guy here. Your last point is valid to me and it also shows that love seeking has usually nothing to do with true friendship and open-heart and that is why some people get sick about that right in the middle of their lives.
With respect, I abhor that mindset of many women: "he is making me waste time" I think it would be the case of men that entice women into relationships just to use them and trash them, but a man that shows genuine friendship and honesty ...should be called a player or time-waster? I have seen many women here with that mindset: they hate men "wasting time" If they think the man is approximately what they are looking for then they want him to promise her eternal love and all that silly stuff, if you just talk or just want to be a friend, someone to talk to, then you are weird or stuff like that. And maybe some men are "weird" just because it is not easy for them to get into a relationship any more. Some men might have terrible memories of crossing the mine fields of "eternal love" or maybe others have got to learn to appreciate the wonderful moments that solitude sometimes gives us. Personally I do not think there is anything wrong about that guy and people should be respected and never scorned because of the decision they take for their life. Cheers!!
I habe been thinking about the Nietzschean apotegm "live in risk" just because all sort of late decisions in my life so I had to come back inevitably to one of the greatest thinkers of mankind as an organism following certain inevitable nechanisms. Ernst Juenger fled the security of his home and the Wandervögel to see Africa and the conflict that echoed in a European world that had apparently reached the ideal of order and peace. It was the eve of the Great War, so once back home after beng released from the Foreign Legion cellars, Juenger joined the German Army and survived four years of such the most hideous and decisive chapter of human history.
In his long and adventurous life, Juenger has understood in many ways the harmful utopia of modern times and has seen its evolution not to the suppression of all wars but to the subjugation of mankind to their machines and technology just to dull the best aspects of our nature and to facilitate our material brutalization and the prospect of massive extermination.
Juenger sees war and the drive for motion and adventure in us as a biological acquisiton from our ancestors, not good not bad, just something defining us. However, our own works, our own accumulkation of wealth and the use of machines have put us to the brink of suppressing all that from our nature. THis essay reflect the thoughts of one of the finest anarchist thinkers of all times:
