Ah.. come on... do you recall the anti-american rhetoric when Bush was in office? What about Thatcher's anti-german rhetoric... then there was the blue cheese pissing contest with the French... and the list goes on. It's politics. It's stuff to keep the dumb peoples' minds occupied.
BP and the like are global corporations. Where they're headquartered or incorporated is of little consequence.
By the way... when you say this is "typical american", know that you're doing exactly the same thing that you claim not to like.
I agree. I'm not making an argument against learning a language. On the contrary.
We are also talking about spouses, not the primary economic immigrant. Whether the spouse will apply for and receive a work permit is another story. I do not know the law in Britain, but I know that in Germany, if you enter the country on a spousal visa, you are not allowed to work for 3 years. Permission to stay and permission to work are completely separate issues there.
If Britain has a similar rule that prohibits a spouse from working for any period of time upon entry into the country, then what is the point of the language proficiency test prior to entry into the country?
Do you or anyone know whether such a rule exists in Britain?
Wow... Well, there are pros and cons to late pregnancies. I guess it's up to each couple.
Been through the empty nest thing and that is hard at first. Still, there is comfort in the fact that the kid(s) are still around, just not in the house. It's also a real test case when there is suddenly only you and your partner left and you actually have to deal with each other
Your profile looks great. A couple of spelling errors, but being a non-native english speaker, it's not a problem.
By the way, there's nothing wrong with wearing your heart on your sleeve. If that is you, then so be it. You just have to be careful who you give it to.
My input would be: Don't sweat it. Every woman wants something else. You will never be able to fine one recipe to suit all. Be yourself! be confident in who you are and what you can do. Focus more on you and don't waste your time thinking about what women want.
Well, Bosnia is almost entirely landlocked, short of a 25 km or so stretch. So any diving here would be done in Croatia or Montenegro... unless you like to dive into minefields (okay, that was a lame joke).
Dove with Stewart Coves in the Bahamas. Very good reputable dive operator with quality equipment. I don't remember the names of all the dive sites off top of my head. I do recall the Bahama Mamma, a reef shark dive and one close to the drop-off where the US had a sub stationed that sent out sonar. I thought I had ear trouble, until after the dive, we were informed that it was the sub sitting there in the deep... cool stuff for the imagination. (picture this huge sub appearing from the deep mooowwhhhaaahhh)
Walkers cay in the Bahamas was the "secret tip" in my dive club for anyone interested in shark dives. Lots of Hammerheads there.
Ugh, don't get me started on stories... got enough to fill a book, as I'm sure does everyone else and you will too soon enough
If you're interested in sharks and such, check out the Princeton Shark Research Institute. They do very specialized dives that are guaranteed not to disappoint and its all for a good purpose.
NJ wrecks, Dom Rep cave, Bahamas, GBR, Hawaii, St Lucia and a few very cold lakes. ... i know i'm forgetting something... damn senioritis strikes again.
The college money is deceptive. They don't give it to you all at once. Your entitlement goes up each year you serve. If your skills test results are crap, you'll only qualify for crap jobs, like pumping fuel and you'll come out without a skill. If push comes to shove, you won't even have time to take college classes while you're still in the service. Happened to a friend of mine. Took him 20 years to get his degree together because he was always out in the field.
In my opinion, the pay sucks, but then considering the unemployment rate, getting little pay plus benefits isn't such a bad deal either. Remember though that until you reach a certain rank, you have to live in the billets.
One final thing. Read the fine print of the contract. Once you sign in, you're in for almost life. You will do active service, plus they can call you into the active reserve and then you go into inactive reserve... which adds up to many, many years.
Decision is yours, obviously, just don't think it's a cake walk and that you'll be sent to some cushy assignment. Pick a skill that is transferable to a civilian job!!
I cannot imagine that an atheist would bring about such a discrimination suit. That has to be a hoax or a joke of some sort.
What I can imagine is a Florida (or any bible-belt(ed)) judge to say something so ignorant Afterall, judges are elected, not promoted based on performance
If memory serves, it's when you think about the other person all day long and you get the prickly feeling in your stomach when that person says something nice to you.
When I first signed on here, I replied to a post that was written in German. I replied in German. Then I was told by a few members that everything here is done in English... I'd be happy to post in German and messy French.
See, now I'd have thought that a smart lad, such as yourself, would appreciate the appeal of natural pheromones. Might be a new and perhaps better experience?
RE: BP oil spill America becoming Anti-British now!!
