Earl, I gave up on American Singles, True and mate 1. Still my profile is there and get lots of information on new ones coming in. This place is free and the best things in life are free. Why should one pay money for being with the free? I ain't running down them other places because I really learned a lot from them but after being there I prefer here. One friend I got from mate 1 but we were both were in a slump because she hard a heart attack and could not work. I can remember getting a new car but just looking at it outside the house because she could not drive it. She got back to work and they missed her something awful. Now she doesn't have time but has a lot of friends at work. I feel like I have a lot of friends here. I am enjoying my friends at work. People leave friends laying all over the place, lol. I like the clutter, lol.
Smokie's friends eat their roaches. A roach is what is left of a marijuana cigarette. I agree and am a smoker. I keep a trash bag in my car and empty the ash tray once in a while. Forest fires can become of cigarettes tossed out the window. Actually the ash tray is modified tuna fish can since someone lost the original one, lol. Yup, keep America beautiful or wherever you are. Mother earth is not one big trash can. I am good to my trash can and feed it regularly. When it throws up I take it out and replace the bag inside. I have a burn barrel and separate the cans when I can. Yup, Mom tells me to clean up my own place because she knows I have to live here not her. You have a good point and thanks for bringing it up.
It is not easy. Head games can be stereotyped just like people. I went through rehab and most people don't realize how many different kinds of head games there are really. The fine art of manipulation can be learned down to a science. But the old values still apply. If it looks too good to be true then it probably isn't. Your gut instinct will help you. People who are trying to fool others still wind up only fooling themselves. As my good friend says be true. Say ouch when it hurts and get feedback. Take the time to get to know someone for sure. The more time you get to know someone here the less time you will have to pay for it later. Stick with the winners by hanging out with your friends. Go for the friendships first. Study the questions more than the answers. Have fun most of all. Fun people are fun to be around. Don't take it too seriously and learn how to adapt. There are varied types of people in here.
Who are you calling junior, lol? I have lived in Texas, heck, I have lived in a lot of different places. Welcome to the forums where the men are men and the sheep are scared, lol. This is a nice place but takes a little bit to get used to. I came in here full of myself and had to back up and reconsider a few things. A successful relationship can be viewed different ways. I have seen singles go out as couples and I have seen close friendships develop among singles. By the way, I am Roy, and have been widowed 5 months. I hope you take a liking to this place and give it a chance. We will treat you in so many different ways that you are bound to like some of them.
Seems like dumb questions, huh, lol? I have heard it said to have a friend you must be a friend. I have heard it said that you can't love somebody else to you love yourself first. Do you get yourself little gifts or get proper sleep? Do you take yourself out to dinner or get flowers for you? Just a thought. I am drawing a blank, lol.
Lol, Len. I thought that was funny. They play practical jokes at work all the time. Thing is when it starts it don't stop for a long time, lol. Did you ever watch the movie, "I'm going to get you, sucka"? I liked Kungfu Joe and how that one guy got a splinter in his fingers and tied a tourni (bandage I can't spell it, lol) around his arm like First Blood movie, lol. Mark at work thought he would be funny. He moved the letters on keyboard around, lol. Supervisor didn't think it was funny but got new keyboard, lol.
Some don't always start out that way but some of them change. I feel like I have met honest people on here. I had enough head games before treatment don't need them, either. Games that you can play like checkers and games in that category are different. There are really people who are really looking to find mates on here. There are people on here who are looking for friendships. There are people who are looking for a combination of the two. Don't be impatient like I have been and just take your time. Having friends will take the lonliness away. I have found that true friendships feel like love at first time. It is amazing what you can learn and how much fun it is to interact with others.
America was attacked. Still terrorists threaten peace of the world. Still noticeable in Air Ports. American soldiers still in Iraq. Stop the Hate. Soldiers have families, too. Children with missing parents. They deserved to have parents, too. Soldiers need their time with their families.
What might be classified as extra problems with those who have lost someone besides just the loss are guilt, anger, lonliness, isolation, impatience to replace the loss one and other symptoms. Anger at self, God and anyone within range. Guilt of maybe you could have done something to prevent it, guilt that is was your fault and guilt of arguments wth spouse before they died, Lonliness because you were used to having someone and you feel you are punished by being alone. Isolation because they are not there and so you close down and punish yourself by not getting out to be with others because you feel like the grim reaper. It feels different than divorce because you with that person when they died. You feel like, hey, why did this happen to me. I was good and now I am alone anyways. 5 months widowed here. Still trying to deal with it.
Was talking to Norma. She thinks it is best that sister come back down. Was talking to Mom. She thinks Norma shouldn't be flirting with sister's husband. Mom said my dad was that way and they got divorced before I was three. Wrote birthday card to sister and said if you need help to come down we will help. Was thinking about Norma and think she should flirt with me and not with my brother-in-law. hmmm
When I worked at Tyson Foods maintenance we got these new sensing devices that were electric. It is called an electric eye. When things break the connection it causes the unit to go on or off. We hooked up a shower head connected to a water source right above the supervisor's office. When he broke the connection of the eyes on the side of the doors he got soaked. We all thought it was funny because we all said well, you did it to yourself, lol.
Had a heart to heart with Norma last night and today. She is not on here but a friend that came down with my sister a few months ago on the fourth of July. We talked over the phone. She lives in Billings, Montana but she has a cell phone. It really helped me to get out of a slump. It was like a date for me although it was over the phone. It is easy for us to share because we did meet each other in person at the family reunion when my sister came down from Wyoming. Since she is not part of this forum it takes the pressure off me. We had a nice talk and she promised to call every Sunday. I had picked her a flower at the reunion. She was recently divorced and has some of the head trips like me. It is nice when you can open up and share with someone even though you know that there can never come to anything but the friendship shared. I know I feel better after the conversations we shared.

The thrill of the chase. One of my brothers gave me this cd of Real Girls strip poker from pokai. It is a lot of fun. There are three cds and you get your choice of four girls. I am sure there is one for women, too. Haven't checked, lol. Anyways, each character has a different style that you compete with. They greet you and they all have different levels of skills. The game is interactive. You can give them beer, there is this tongue that you can use, lol. And you can even can use hands, lol. The game is very fun and I would recommend it to anyone. They even have personalities that are built in. Really cool stuff for insomniacs.
